Totally forgot about that I was there and I distinctly remember both Starks and Rondon being corralled by the coaches. Rondon was also very disrespectful during the trophy presentation where Snapp had to correct him very loudly in front of the entire gymnasium.

They haven’t had a handshake line with each other since because adults can’t set a good example. Sad.

I have zero concerns those guys will pull it together and be more effective for the Newport game. Pete is also just coming back from an injury but he’s a guy that could give you 20 and it not be a surprise.

Lloyd got a combined 0 points from Bresser, Sebastian, and Collins. That cannot happen Tuesday or they will be sent home by the Wildcats for the third straight season at region.

Applies to the championship matchup as well. Frederick Douglass beat Bryan Station 3 times this season. Tuesdays champion will definitely be battle tested.

Survive and advance. Lloyd has to play to win instead of playing to not lose. Dangerously close at the end.

Will there be a stream of this game? Should be a good one to watch.

Not entirely but I do know at other 9th region schools there has been family members banned from attending home games. What occurred at region last season was definitely lack of control but as I previously stated both of those parties are no longer at Cooper.

Let me clarify in no way shape or form do I think that Sully should be let go.

Sullivan is a great coach however he let Rondon’s poor sportsmanship play out for far too long and that boiled over in the regional final last year when he was walking off the court not trying to shake the Newport players hands. The parent who tossed the object onto the court also is no longer with the program so I am unsure how this constitutes him being let go for behavior this season. Strange all around.

For the 3rd season in a row I look for it to be CovCath, Cooper, Newport and Lloyd. Any of those 4 teams could win the region. I am going with the Juggs and their senior laden team to get it done.

Didn’t Lorms have 10/11 points in the first quarter? Not much containment he got to the rim with power multiple times.

There’s no debating on whether that was a dirty play or not. Also embarrassing that Brossart’s coach was defending that so loudly. Hope for a speedy recovery for Austin.

I would guess Conner/Ryle will be the most competitive and have a great atmosphere.

Kentucky needs to make some revisions if this was even remotely possible. I highly doubt it would be but for future instances it shouldn’t even be a consideration.

I’ve been saying Conner has been underrated all season. They will have a rough way to get to region though opening up with Ryle in the district tourney.

Highlands didn’t have an answer for Walker or Blaackar. Big games from both of them. Walker had 13 in the first quarter. Lloyd has now won 7 straight.

Also note that Elijah Collins has entered play for Lloyd. He put up 9 in his first game back and followed that up with 15 against Woodward. A good defender, excellent 3 point shooter, and another ball handler which Lloyd needs. I don't quite think they are the number one team in the 9th yet but they can definitely beat any of the top teams.
