Impressive! Congrats to those young men and the Tomcat faithful. Keep it going.

If that's the case then the turf on Pond Creek, home of the Belfry Pirates, is way overdue. The turf they played on this past season is the original turf laid down back in 2005 in the first season at the new stadium. That's 15 years on the original surface. But, plans are being made and money/donations are being put together (this all started last year) in hopes of replacing the turf this summer and having a new playing surface at CAM Stadium in time for the 2020 Pike County Bowl. I can definitely see 7-10 years being the "shelf life" of turf though because the Pirates definitely needs theirs replaced. Lord willing this will get done and the Pirates will have a new playing field this coming season.

I like seeing Ashland on this kind of winning streak and having a great season for EKY. I'm not a big high school basketball fan, I'm one of those football nuts. With that being said, does Ashland have a legit shot at winning a state championship this year?

Not sure. I know Belfry ran into alot of trouble last year trying to fill their schedule. And in the end, they ended up having only a 9 game regular season because they couldn't find another team to play them. I believe what happened with them was that all the non district teams they played, the contract ran out. Not sure about this but just what I was told. And if I'm not very bad mistaken, their running into that same problem this year.

A little to far out for me. Alot of teams here in Eastern Kentucky are still trying to fill their schedules for this coming year, 2020. But one game this fall I definitely want to see is the Mingo Central (WV) vs Belfry in the Pike County Bowl.

Man, after going through all these signee threads, it just hit me that the state of KY has put alot players through to the next level. We had an outstanding year of high school football and this makes it 10X better seeing all these young men achieve their dreams. Congratulations to all and the best of luck. I know you all will continue to be great.

Absolutely not! Its college football signees. And the last time I checked D2, D3, and NAIA is college football. People get caught up way to much in thinking D1 or nothing. So list any young man that's going to be playing at the next level my friend. Their just as deserving as any D1 player is.

I know a little more about Central Kentucky football than I do the westside but not enough to start naming where those young men will be playing this fall. Some let us have Central Kentuckians, who's going where?

Not a clue as to who has signed to play college football out in the western part of the state. But I wanted to start this thread so some of you westerners can come in here and give some of your guys some recognition. Who's going where?

I told my buddy that very thing yesterday. UPIKE has went hard at getting these "GEMS" hidden away in these mountains that alot of teams seem to consistently overlook. Things are looking very good for the Bears.

Thank you Sir. I just hope others start threads like this one. Maybe a "WKY 2020 Football Signee" thread, a "Central KY 2020 Football Signee" thread, and so on. It will allow us to keep up with who's going where. I thought it would be fun and interesting.

That's awesome! I'm a big fan of Russell's. I knew a couple had signed but wasn't exactly sure. That's why I didnt post anything. Same thing with Ashland. I've heard a couple has signed, John Stone to EKU being one, but not positive. Hopefully someone will verify the Tomcat signees.

Thought it would be cool to make a tracker of the 2020 EKY college football signees to give these outstanding young athletes some recognition they deserve. I've made a list of the ones that I'm aware of here in the Pike County and Johnson County part of the state. If I missed anyone from the schools I've listed, I apologize. If I did miss somebody then please comment who they were and where they signed to play. I will update this tracker everytime I verify a signing. Also, would love to see someone else with the knowledge put together a tracker for kids from Central, Nothern, Western, and any other area in Kentucky and where they've decided to commit and play. I always try to keep up with our guys that move on and it would be nice to know where all these kids end up playing at the next level. Yeah, they've done a pretty good job. The PCB will be in its 36th year this fall and has raised over $850,000 for the Pike County school system over the years. At least that's what the news reported last PCB. So if that number is wrong its not my fault. Lol
