As a Boyle fan I remember on a Saturday following a Friday night matchup between Danville and Boyle at Boyle in the early 2000's, it was mentioned on the UK football pregame show that it was good the UK did not play the night before because the UK attendance would have down some due to so many people at the game a Boyle.

The RPI update after this Friday's games should be interesting with Johnson Central playing a 2 and 5 team and Boyle playing a 6-1 team.

If Boyle plays at St X next year, there will be a considerable larger crowd on the visitor's side.

Meat grinder is probably a good description. They had two players injured yesterday and that schedule will surely take an additional toll on the roster throughout the season. This was an awesome game to be sitting in the stands. This game was right up there with any of the state championship games that Boyle has played. Oddly the individuals working the concessions were actually pulling for Boyle County. The game was played at Lakewood HS which typically gets beat badly every year by St. Ed. The fans of the opposing side seem to be taken out of the game by Boyle's play and seemed to be in shock that a small public school in Kentucky could even compete on the same field as the Ohio state champions. These teams want to schedule high ranking teams to boost their national rating but sometimes the outcome does not work out the way things were anticipated.

You might want to ask the Station coach who has the best team. Did Station ask for a running clock against Trinity before half time? Did Trinity give up any earned first downs in the first half? If you think Trinity is better just keep dreaming. I have seen Boyle twice and the Trinity Freddy D game. I don't really see them as comparable. Freddy D spotted Trinity two scores by 2 unforced turnovers within the 20 yard line so I am not sure that Trinity is that much better than Douglass.

WKU could not guarantee that the stadium would be available for the state championship weekend because of possible obligations to Western's football conference. This is my understanding on why it was changed some years ago.

Kind of weird that it used different numbers all over the jersey. Very Nice though.

I think we now have the answer to whom has Boyle beat that was stronger, faster, bigger and more talented. Did Freddie D let the 7 D1 players play tonight or were they confined to the locker room?

If you are big enough you can set anywhere you like. Just joking of course. I was down a few years ago and set with a group of our fans. Hometown crowd was very nice.

Is this award for the best high school football player or the high school football player that has the most potential in college? There seems to me to be a big difference.

I would think that Boyle will put the score to a running clock half way through the second quarter and the Rebels keep rolling along.

I think that you could consider Franklin County more in this conversation if they win their next two games.
