Doubledee

Catholic school enrollment is down all over the state has been for years.

They are. Thy need to keep the pressure off their QB and maybe find someone else to play safety on D to give him a break.

It was. NCC had a fumble recovery on a kick off and a pick 6 after that to nail down the win. NCC was the better team but Newport was in the game early in 2nd half. If Newport had not made mistakes they would have had a chance but NCC capitalized on the turnovers and Newport looked totally gassed in the 4th quarter.

He started pressing late in the game and was under a ton of pressure. Yes he was way off on a few throws and was probably extremely tired from scrambling on every play plus played safety on D all night.

Ouch!

Newport QB is very good. Not much support around him. Their line on both sides of the ball are terrible. NCC was in the backfield all night. Newport turned the ball over on downs twice on the goal line in 1st half.

New Cath has played a way tougher schedule and will be ready for the Wildcats. Newport has the best team they've had in years and will be competitive but the Breds will be too much for them.

I was told there would be no math.

NCC. Much tougher schedule than Walton Verona. Breds will be ready to go against a team on their level.

Oh my!

New Caths 1st 3 games are there to make them a better team. They've scheduled like that for years. They'll dominate when it counts. If they win a game or 2 against a bigger team awesome. Bacon has a really good running game. Breds won't see a back like Kiner again until the playoffs if at all.

So NCC hung with a 5A team and beat a 6A team. I'd say they won't lose many more games this season. It's safe to puff their chest they are only a 1A team after all. Cooper on the other hand should be worried how many games they'll actually win this year. Their schedule is pretty tough from here out.
