Highlands special teams aren't really special Two TD's on KO's returned. The return men for SC were burners for sure.

Elder might not be worried about Highlands, but I'm sure they are worried about the school waiting for them in Cleveland. What happens if Elder loses to Highlands? St. X (OH) lost to Highlands while both teams were ranked in the top 5 in the country in2009. Highlands is a D4 school. Good luck with no injuries.

Over the years I have heard several different stories about the meaning of "cake eater". I think they would say it was a knock to Highlands and Ft. Thomas people , but people in the fort think it's use is meant to be an insult. We in the fort just think the people out of town are just ignorant .They don't know what it means either. I've lived in the fort all of my life and have a big family and none of us really know about slang term used it stands for. The first thing highlands cheer leaders baked a cake and on it it said how highlands is going to beat Newport that night. You guessed it. Newport that night ,beat Highlands. Another one is people say Highlands people can afford cake but not cold cuts. My info came from a priest and a long time Bird. Take it for what it's worth.. ☺️

First, let me tell you,. Less than a year ago, I had a brain bleed which caused a stroke and heart and I spent 5 days in the hospital. So, you and my wife are correct. I'm not right. ☺️Now back to football. If you or any body figure out who I am so be it.I'm the Roller that nobody knows. I'm Gary Roller played foot ball my Frosh year and didn,t play any more. You might hear some names that sound familiar. My nephews are Brandon, Greg, Andrew. All three played both ways .Brandon got 3 rings and he played for Dale in 2007 2008 and 2009. Yea, he got plenty of Highlands bling. Greg got a ring after winning the state title game, final score 7to 3. I think coach Hermann was the head coach. Remember , I'm might be wrong. Brandon got D1 from ARMY but did not accept it. Brandon was a three year starter at LB and tight end. Not sure about Andrews rings. I assume nephews count as relatives. I have four brothers. George ,Bill, Dave (passed away), Steve .I know Bill has 2 rings one from 68 and one from 70.Coach Murphy was head in 70 not sure about 68. Brothers count as relatives, right? If I missed any body I'm sorry. The moral of the story is the Rollers have lots of rings. Do you under stand now. .

Number 1 for the Birds played a great game , not counting the fumble at the end. I knew they would stop number 22, my friends knew it too. Does H still have 4 QB's? Why don't Highlands use 1 QB on each down. TRY SOMETHIMG DIFFERENT. CCH is licking their chops. Elder can't wait either. Yea, I'm a BIRD. Had all kinds of relatives play for the Birds. One has 3 rings and the other has no rings. They were one year apart. Both played both a and d. The difference was NOT talent, they had different coaches. Not trying to insult coaches players or teams but that is the main reason. I still bleed blue like I have all my life. Congrats to BOYLE, YOU PLAYED GOOD GAME , JUST GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN.

I didn't make the trip to the fort, but I surely was surprised when I saw the final score. We have all known and heard about number 22 for years for Highlands. Did any other players have a good or I say great game? Does H have any burners or any players that could considered above the rest? If there is a problem in the kicking game, check out the soccer team. Lots of good kickers came from there over the years. I'm not trying to degrade this team or any other previous teams, just trying to get the scoop. Hope the Birds have a great season and no injuries. Congrats Birds, nice start to the season.

Great schedule, but tough as nails. Just thankful that I'll be here hopefully, to see all of the Birds games. The future looks bright for me and the Birds. Go Birds!!!

This Highlands team had more talent than needed to win state. So whom or who is the weakest link in the program. Lots of talent in the program and don't know where to place them. Weak link is OC, coaching, and special teams need some serious improvement. I would give my right arm and left leg to see any BATHIANI on the coaching program, including ones with zero experience. Yea I'm a bird fan, but close doesn't do it for me. Go Birds!!!!

With Cooper having a great QB and WR's, there is no reason to only rush three D linemen. I rush 4 D lineman every play and blitz once in a while. You just can't let a QB of his talent have all day to scope the field. This loss is on the coaches. Proud of the Bluebird players!!!
