  1. Ryle was a massive disappointment last season. Expect major improvement this year.
  2. Ryle has looked much better thus far. B.Lyons looks like he could be a special player.
  3. Idk if a MOD could link the post if it has been done, thank you. However I went back a few pages and couldn’t find one. Could someone post a breakdown of how the new playoff alignment works? I couldn’t find it clearly listed on KHSAA. Thanks.
  4. Ryle’s Recent within the last 15 years all-Times IMO Tanner Morgan- QB Scott Gray - RB Vince Murray - FB Chris Brzinski -DT Travis Elliott - RB (would of broke Alexander’s records if it wasn’t for injury early in SR year) Jake Chilsom - RB Connor Hempel - QB Zach Zenvisky - S Tanner Teepen- DT Court Mace- MLB Khris Pridgen- DT Josh Lamping- S Adam Schmidts- RB Ross Uminger- K
  5. I have gathered a lot of information about Coach Belcher. I must say my first reaction was not good. However after doing my research I am impressed. I would encourage others to do some background research. Some accolades: He was an NKY player of the year. Played 4 years at Belmont going to the tourney 3/4 of those. Looks like he was an assistant at EKU. Then took over PC and has a winning record in his first 5 years as a head coach. Ryle parents & students are looking for leadership and a hard nose coach to turn things around. His resume says to me that he has both. I’m excited to see what the future holds and I believe the upcoming Juniors/Seniors will give him a good foundation to launch off of.
  6. He would be a giant steal for Ryle but I believe he’s destined for the next level... Who knows maybe he’s even replacing his brother at NKU whose rumored for a couple big jobs like Alabama & Vandy...
  7. Control wasn’t the best choice of words but you catch my drift.
  8. Ryle pulls kids from Ockerman, Ra Jones & Gray MS. Gray & Ockerman have always been good programs with good coaches. RA (small division) I have heard has had a very successful program the last few years. Coaching has been the issue for Ryles program. Kids have routinely not bought in. Which has led to multiple disappointing seasons. The next coach that takes over needs to bring in a strong freshman coach that can help maintain & develop the talent. In the past kids have made these teams that have no potential to develop over the course of 4 years. Athletes are present however Ryle needs a coach that knows how to motivate the players & control the parents of Ryle’s Demographics.
  9. Was not endorsing him. I have heard his name and a few others. Was hoping to drum up what others have heard by sharing what I have. I personally think Brannen from WV would be a great pick. However I don’t think he will be leaving WV unless it’s to the next level...
  10. I have heard Boone’s JV coach come up a few times in the rumor mill. I think he would be a good hire but I believe this would be his first HC job.
  11. He officially resigned yesterday from what I understand.
  12. Unfortunately part of your job as a coach is dealing with parents. At Ryle the next coach will need to come in expecting a tough situation with parents who all think their kid is the next superstar. In the last 10 years many former Raider coaches fell victim to complaining parents. Gone are the days of players working into roles and working harder for playing time. Now simply parents complain and expect more time to be given. If not these kids quit and their parents then complain to the administration. Not understating how hard it is to gel teenagers to make effective lineups. (And yes their are still kids who know how to work hard but they aren’t the problem). Many aspects are involved in being a head coach. However it comes down to Wins Vs. Losses. A Head Coach’s record says a lot and McFarlands is not good.
  13. The Raiders need to find a QB or this could be a long season. Another year like last year and Warner succeeding at Boone, could have Union out with pitchforks.
  14. Great Hire plenty of untapped talent that will respond well from Warner’s style of coaching! Could be too early to say but the Raider / Rebel rivalry may become as intense as it once was!
  15. This is a true statement from this year however leadership starts at the top. Hopefully this offseason the program finds strong upcoming Senior Leadership and invest heavily in a weight program. Rumors have already started about certain coaches on the staff leaving/retiring but that’s typical after such a harsh fall from a preseason top 2 team. Off seasons are rough after losing seasons. Many parents are understandable upset but I believe most rumors will remain just that... rumors. Ryle has talent that could make next season a good rebound year. Hopefully it is coached and put on the field.
  16. 43-14 1 min in 3rd Tate’s Saladin first two touches 36 yards 24 yards & TD Why hasn’t this kid been playing O.
  17. Attitude reflects leadership. And no adjustments has been obviously bad. The Ryle fans are crucifying the coaching staff from the stands.
  18. Does anyone have more info on Tate’s Creek. I have not read or heard a lot besides that they are super athletic.
  19. We have always had good talent coming up. The problems with this season are mainly due to coaching and a lack of strong senior leadership. Arguably your best player was suspended for senior night and likely the playoff game. The play calling the second half of this season has been better. However 2 years of time invested trying to make a QB out of a great athlete backfired this season. Not a knock against that kid as he is a great athlete just was not used by his coach’s how he probably should of been. I believe this is a winnable playoff game at home Friday. With that being said I think it’s also a good opportunity to test your talent for next season.
