They now have their Varsity squad fully comprised. Various adjustments will be made, and they'll know how to handle whatever is thrown {defensively} at them in the future. Dealing with back-to-back games can be tough. Nonetheless, this is a talented group that will handle this minor set-back, and move on to the next game full speed ahead. Go Birds. -
Not all that surprising really. As a Coach, you are always looking at new challenges, and this certainly qualifies as just that. Lakota West is a great School, with a substantial enrollment. Within a short period of time, Coach Bolden will have the Team near, or at the top of the division leaders. He is a great coach that understands kids, and loves the game. Nice job Lakota West Administration Officials.

St. Henry at Highlands Predictions
godfather1 replied to THUNDERBIRDS's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
If the boy's bring the same level of intensity, and physicality that was demonstrated against CCH, Highlands should win comfortably. If not, and they lose focus of the task at hand, it could be a different story, and a much closer game. Should be interesting either way. Go Birds. -

This is a very talented group of boy's that need to let the game come to them. In the first half against HHS, they ran their offense at will. In the second half, their inexperience showed it's ugly head, in a big way. They didn't handle the physicality that the Birds handed out at all. They came unglued, and tried to rush the offense rather than running their offense. I expect that they will be in full gear after the Christmas break. January should be very interesting. -

Fantastic game. A tale of two halves. Big first half lead for CCH vs. an athletically played 2nd half by the Birds. Great experience for both teams. I wouldn't want to play CCH in a month or so. Go Birds, stay focused on your next opponent, and have fun. -

Why do stupid comments always come out after a game like this one. There has to be a winner and a loser. One {1} kid wasn't going to make a difference on Friday night for the Birds. It's complete nonsense to think otherwise. Cov. Cath won because they have a great team. Goodness, give them the credit they deserve. BW isn't going anywhere, nor does he deserve to be removed. He did a great job this season. Now, the O.C. on the other hand must be relieved of his duties, as the Offense has been anemic for most of the season, and is very predictable, IMO. Lastly, Huddleston is playing exactly where he should be playing. Good kid. Plays hard, and is a fine leader. He'll be just fine. I think it would be best to leave the Hergott situation out of this discussion, unless you know all the facts behind the decision to transfer to Beechwood. 10-3 season and people are complaining. Simply amazing. -

You can lead a horse to water but ........... Not a Huggins style player. Nowhere near enough tools in the tool box for that program, IMO. Good luck my man. -

You gotta love all the theories, and rhetoric heading into the play-off season. Simply put, everybody is sore, bruised, and a bit leg heavy. That said, it becomes a mental game. Which team can mentally control the weather conditions, and execute their game plan on offensive side of the ball. Normally, defenses will continue to do what got them there, scheme wise. It would be great if one (1) player could dictate the outcome of a game. However, that's not what's practiced, or preached by any Coaching staff, at this stage of the season. Team, Team, Team. Good luck Birds, play your game. -

Is this award based solely on player stats. or, is there a committee that goes around and see's all these athletes in person, in order to cast a vote of this magnitude ?
