Collins definitely played better. Very physical half. Cochran played well on Hammonds but to say he didn’t get fouled in those first 4-5 possessions and Grant shot zero free-throws the first half was tough to watch. Refs set tone early and Grant didn’t adjust. Grant definitely has a tough stretch….Connor, SK, Spencer, Owen, North Oldham, Great Crossing, and Mason county still to come. Even if they lose all those games it will prepare for post season.

I think this comes down to the wire. Grants defense has been pretty solid all year as well. collins maybe be a little deeper. Collins will be coming after playing Anderson Friday night. If Anderson puts up a fight on Friday I believe Grant wins on Saturday.

You were unfortunately told wrong. Kids who get cut from grant county end Up transfers to Williamstown. Blake Robinson parents left because coach utter told his mom to shut her moouth during a game. She yelled at him to leave her son in. Robinson girl did leave as well. Seems like a Robison thing not a Grant county thing. Guffey’s left because of a issue with the dad and school system/bus driving… not basketball. All other transfers were insignificant because they were either cut or the 10,11 12th man in a rotation. Moore never went to Grant. Smithers was a williamstown kid. Yes if Moore and Smithers went there they would no doubt be good. If Guffey stayed they had top 10 back. Now they have top 9 back. Grant will be fine.

Coaches son get injured late game. Waltons fans yelling good job. Grants coach yelled back and one Grant fan who I believe was family to the bleeding kid was upset. Grant staff told fan to settle down. End of discussion don’t take away from a great game. Great district matchup and great game start to finish. Game could have went either way. Grant was up 1 with ball under 1:30 to play. Had two turnovers and missed a huge layup. Very young team that made some young mistakes Enjoyed seeing progress in this team. They played season with 3juniors, 3-4 sophomores and two freshman. Good luck to Walton.

Grant county moved to 15-15 in the regular season. Congrats to Grant County sophomore Dylan Hammonds for reaching 1000 points and 500 rebounds.

Very physical game for the young Grant county team. Grant held their own only down 2 at half and kept it close through 3 quarters. Madison Central strength ended up being too much for the Braves as the lead was stretched out late. Brown led MC with 19 and Hammonds for Grant led all scorers with 29. Madison Central had 4 players reach double figures.
