Teams that rely so much on one player generally don't put together runs in post season. Good defensive teams will make it hard on a team like SK.

It's the Spencer County Bears not Bearcats.

Maybe Bullitt East is a little better than your giving credit. I heard the same comments when they barely beat Spencer on their home court (refs robbed Spencer). So Bullitt East has beaten Collins, Spencer, and Butler in the last two weeks. They are playing very well. Teams do get better over the season. Especially if they have a good coach.

If that's the case--smart move. Hope the game is rescheduled at a later date. I think that game would be very entertaining.

They lose two very nice players in Jackson Cole and Jacob Seawright. They will be however returning three of the top sophomores in the region who have all played varsity since 8th grade. As with all teams I would think they will have players step up and develop.

Geez, some of you all are testy. I was just looking forward to watching Gallatin vs Spencer and was a little disappointed. I just figured it could get worked out. I think every team deals with illness. If a player is sick they don't play or play sick. Spencer had some sick players that played against Walton Verona. No big deal. Hopefully it will be rescheduled. As far as records Johnson Q-one of those teams has played probably the toughest schedule in the region so I wouldn't be talking about records.

Apparently the Spencer County vs Gallatin County game was cancelled. I heard that Gallatin County said they had some kind of flu breakout at their school and wouldn't be coming to Spencer County for the game? I saw they just played another game. Kind of confused as to why they wouldn't come to Spencer County. Anyway, Spencer picked up Bardstown for tonights game. I don't think Gallatin is rescheduling to play Spencer either.

O.K. let me put it like this. Collins and Spencer will have WAY more talent than Woodford next year but if you think they can get to the 1 or 2 seed in that district then I guess anything can happen.

The 1-2 seed?? You do realize that Collins and Spencer will probably be in the top four of the region next year.

I don't remember saying anything negative about Woodford?? I just said they are coming from a district that has never been tougher than the one they are going to. You keep on bringing up the past twenty years. I'm talking about right now. I could care less about history. Spencer's program has elevated in the past three years due to the fact that they have more talent than they ever have. Woodford will come in next year probably third or fourth in the pecking order. Those are facts. They lose alot after this year. Am I wrong?

Thank you Polar Bearcat for the common sense. Woodford will find out that trips to the region in a their new district may be few and far between.

Straight shooter - unlike you to overlook Spencer County Woodford loses alot after this year.

Spencer County has attacked the basket against South Oldham and tonight at Anderson County. I think teams are going to have to respect that going forward. Not just a three point shooting team.

After 3 Spencer County 46 Anderson 28. Anderson can't keep Spencer from getting to basket. Too much speed.

Spencer came out a little sloppy but turned it up in second quarter. Spencer up 30-19 at half. Anderson County trying to hold the ball and run clock.

It's all about matchups. Walton Verona is a horrible matchup for Spencer County but South Oldham is a good matchup for them. Spencer has made some adjustments from being a three point shooting team primarily to attacking the rim. South Oldham couldn't keep them from getting to basket. Spencer County has players that can beat you off the dribble. Yes it's a big win for their program.

Spencer County vs South Oldham got moved up to 4:00 due to weather. At Henry County.

They play South Oldham at Henry County High School at 6:00 on Saturday.

Henry County but not sure of time.

They better get it done this year. Wow that is a lot of experience. Makes me feel a little better about the loss. Looks like Collins, South Oldham, and WV are the teams rolling right now.

I agree it is not a good matchup for them. All that size is too much especially when you do not have a bench. Hornback for Spencer had three fouls at the beginning of second quarter. That pretty much ended things there. I would have to say that Spencer had a lot of open looks. Just not shooting well. Conley sprained ankle in first quarter and sat half the first so you can imagine what their bigs did then. Spencer is missing their sixth man who will be back. But no excuses WV is better. How many seniors do they have? I heard at least 6??

Bullitt East just took down number one seeded Butler in the LIT. Spencer County played them Friday night on their home court and was literally robbed by the refs. So Spencer County has one game this year that they didn't have a chance and that was Collins. Like I said their record might be a little deceiving.

Actually it won't be a surprise. Anything can happen but I think they will be favored to beat Shelby or Anderson.
