Collins leading 26-22 at half. Intense!

Tell me what part of what I said is inaccurate. He got offers because of his length and athleticism. Potential. Watched him this summer and heard the same things from other people around me. I hope he goes to Xavier and becomes an all-american. He needs to rebound better, work on skill, and put on some weight. Just my opinion.

My top five (keep in mind I like players that excel at both ends) would be McKnight, Conley, Hardin, Miles, Niece. I think those five will have the best shot at the next level. Three of those guys are sophomores. The sophomore class in Kentucky may be the deepest it has ever been from top to bottom.

Gallatin County 54 Anderson County 51

That score is closer than I would have thought. Anderson must be playing well. -
Sophomore Sam Conley gets his 1000th point.

For player of the year I would have to have Sam Conley on there before Miles considering he averages more points and rebounds (17.4, 7 Reb) and he's two years younger and 9 inches shorter. I know you probably have Miles on there for defense but Conley is known for being a lockdown defender. Unfortunately Spencer has no size so Conley has to guard the post. When he defends anyone his size or smaller it's a lockdown. When coming up with a top five I like guys that play both ends. You have some scorers on there who can score no doubt but if Conley guards them they would get half their averages. Those kids wouldn't have a chance guarding him because he is so explosive going to the basket. Another kid that would be on my list is Trevor Hardin of Henry County. Plays both ends and as good as anyone I watched this year. Just my two cents. Fun debate.

Good analysis. That Henry County vs Spencer County score doesn't really tell the story though. Spencer County was up 27 in the third and Coach Burns pulled the starters for the rest of the game. That game was headed towards a forty point win. Spencer also played without starting sophomore Lucas Hornback due to illness.

South Oldham defense is really bad. -

After watching the Shelby County vs Spencer County game last night I came away pretty impressed with Shelby County. It was a well played intense game. Collins may have a tougher first round game than I originally thought. Shelby has some talent. -

I don't think South Oldham should be ranked above Spencer and I was very disappointed in the game cancellation between Gallatin and Spencer. I think that is a matchup of two very similar teams. It was a game that I think Spencer County was ready for and I think their defense would have caused Gallatin some trouble. Just an opinion. Spencer's loss this week was to a very good PRP team. That game was played dead even with Spencer down 1 with 1:15 left. Spencer had to foul which led to final score. They are playing very well. -
Spencer County freshman knocked off Collins and Anderson County to win district tournament. Good talent in that program.
