Etown coach pulled them out of the Mercy hoopsfest after this game. From all accounts, he apologized to the opposing coach and players, Mercy organizers and lit into his players after the game. For the sake of those kids on his team, I hope he continues to follow through with what appeared to be a strong plan of discipline for those involved.

I believe it is 6th Region Juniors against 7th Region Juniors and 6th and 7th Region Seniors against each other. Thanks in advance for any information.

Alright, curious what folks saw and think about the freshmen class (that is now Sophomores) after watching Districts and Regions (and for some State). As we jump into travel ball, curious what folks saw or will they still evaluate during travel ball?

That's what I had heard. Basically they took 3 top 15-20 programs and combined them into one. Just didn't have all of the information but very interesting. If you know, curious how that has been received? Surely there are kids who were starters and great players who ended up sitting on the bench the last 3 years. How was that received and how has it played out?

Curious, when did McCracken combine those high schools to create McCracken County HS and what were the previous high schools? I hear about it but wasn't clear on all of the details. Thought you might know.

I still think Madisonville NH was the best team in the state, but the tournament proved that Scott County was the best team in the state when it counted and state champion!

I thought I already responded but if I didn't, yes, very incredible that they were able to do that. However, many of us predicted that they were about the only team who could do that given the sheer numbers and depth that they have on their roster since they merged those schools several years ago. I tip my hat to both teams and to all of the participants for making this a very memorable High School season and tournament.

Agreed, fantastic catch but playing the state championship on fields with those temporary fences is a joke! Girls deserve to play on regulation fields.

That was impressive as well, but I think many of us predicted that they would still come out of the Loser's bracket given their incredible depth and numbers. Definitely some great stories associated with this memorable tournament!

WOW, didn't realize this was the "If Necessary" game and that McCracken beat them first! Congrats to Scott County and McCracken County both, but Scott County bouncing back and winning it after losing first game 4-2 is pretty incredible!

That's fair. It was surely no gimme opener, and I certainly thought Male could beat them or else I wouldn't have predicted it. You could have a Male/McCracken or Scott County/McCracken County in quarters of Losers bracket, right? or Semis?

This was my thought process as well. Not saying that "no way Male could ever beat McCracken" but the fact that the overall #1 loses in first round and now has that long road to endure is a big upset.

Very talented freshmen class coming in as well. They are trying to build it back up, and don't be surprised if they pull some upsets but take some lumps as well. Like their Senior leadership as well!

I think you are going to see a huge upset in first round when Male beats McCracken County.
