From year to year, teams go up and down. You can't blame Trinity for Warren Central and Carmel not be as good as last year. Again , your gripe is with the rest of Kentucky and their ability , not with trinity's schedule. Now if you want to cut a check for Gorman or Don Bosco to come in, I am sure they will work on it.

why does KHSAA feel it necessary for an 0-10 team to make the playoffs. Need to cut the number of teams in the playoffs and make the regular season mean something.

We are down to 8. Who has a chance? Front Runner: St X - Deep, and good. They flat out will wear you down with keeping the fresh legs coming. I don't care for the unlimited substitution rule. The are far and away the favorite. They beat Daviess and Oldham by a 11-1 combined score this year and have beat top 5 teams Collegiate, Trinity and Ballard on the march to the championship. Second Fiddle(s): Ryle and Oldham County. They are hoping someone would knock out X so they could play each other in the final. I think if Ryle makes the final and doesn't make mistakes,.. they have a shot. Ryle is 1-0 vs. those alive. Oldham has played a solid schedule and if healthy has a slim chance vs. St X. Jeff Thomas needs to have a big game up top and defense has to play flawless. Oldham is 1-1 vs remaining teams. Unfortunately one of those was an 0-5 loss to St X early in October. So you say there is a chance?: Warren Central. Has had a great year, with great defense. Now they are wishing they had played a tougher schedule to prep for the teams ahead. I would say they have a very slim shot. Should make the final 4, but then I believe they may be out of their league. 1-0 against remaining teams. Not dead yet: Campbell County-Need to get the offense geared up to overcome a tough defensive squad, 0-1 against remaining teams. Daviess County-Should make final 4, but will need to bring back last years magic to win it all. Only 3 losses this year,.. but are 0-3 against teams in the final 8. Slim to none,.. but seriously, no chance: Perry Central and Corbin. Congratulations on making it this far and a great season, but I just don't see either one being able to string together 3 more wins.

There are always high expectations, with a state championship as the goal. I don't believe this was the year Trinity thought they should win state. Very young team. Only 6 seniors played against in the Region game against St X. Next season has been the target year. Loads of experience coming back plus a couple of transfers and they should be the favorite in the very tough 7th region. I think 2013 was perhaps a let down, but they have really upped their program over the past 5 years. Keep in mind, over the past 5 seasons they are 7-1-1 against their rival. In conclusion, there wasn't as much hype with this team, they lost to a higher ranked team and their record may have been the 4-5th best in their region. They came within 1 minute off taking the #1 ranked team to OT. I am not sure how you can be critical of that? But then again,... i thought you were the one saying the ST X freshman football team was the best team they have had in years,.. Now they are 4-4 and were outscored by T 85-7. Lots to learn out there, perhaps do more research.

I understand Elder scored on a long run to start the game. After that TD it was all Trinity. Blocked the PAT and rolled off 42 unanswered points.
