Paintsville 42 Frankfort 6
Frankfort is far and away from the Dirty Thirty days. Not the team they were a few years back. That being said, much like Fairview, if you dont get them wrapped up, they will bust long plays on you.

Hazard 41 Fairview 28
Hope everything is ok. Never like seeing kids have to be carted out. With that said. For a team to win by 4 scores with 7 turnovers, Hazard may be better than I anticipated and Fairview maybe not as good.

Belfry/Tates Creek Updates
BIG Red Machine on Pond Creek is going to be next to impossible for anyone in 3A to beat. They have to be top 5 in the state across the board.

Fairview @ Hazard Predictions 8/26
I think Fairview still has the atheletes to compete after seeing the numbers they put up last week. They will have to score quickly and often though against the better and deeper teams on their schedule. I think their skill guys are about as good as any team in the area, but they dont have the numbers across the board like they have had in the past. Thats why I have to go with Hazard by 3 late TDs. This will be a ball game for 3 quarters, imo.

Raceland @ Ashland Predictions 8-26
Nothing would scream louder and sound better than a big goose egg on the home team side of the scoreboard this week!!

Raceland @ Ashland Predictions 8-26
I just hope we can manage to keep that blasted cannon from going off every 30 seconds...lol

Raceland @ Ashland Predictions 8-26
Question for the Kitty Cat faithful. Is brown back at Ashland? If so, when is he eligible?

Raceland @ Ashland Predictions 8-26
Right now neither team is where they hope to be. Which is good and one of the many reasons that I love this match up each year. It almost always is a tell of how far we can expect to go in the post season. I think we are a completely different team though, that Ashland is used to seeing. Even if the new guys upfront are struggling at times, they are still doing enough to let Isaac, Jerome and Carmen rest for a series here and there. Fresh lets upfront is huge against a team 4x your size in numbers. Tyus is playing at a high level at DE as well. Which is crucial for us against Ashland, his combination of size, strength and atheleticism gives us an advantage on the edge, imo. Our conditioning has really impressed me. We seemed to get stronger as the game went on last week. But make no mistake, Ashland will be in good shape too and it always seems like the hottest day of the year falls on the day of this match up. Cant wait for friday.

Raceland 28 West Carter 13
Gotta ean things up in the recieving corps. Game should have been a running clock in the 2nd quarter. 3 wide open TDs dropped. Nathaniel had all day and is putting the ball on the money. Skill guys have to make the catches.

Raceland @ Ashland Predictions 8-26
If Raceland's recievers hold on to the football, Raceland by two scores. If not, its going to be another classic game. I dont think Ashland will hold the depth advantage they usually do. The Rams have alot to work on, but this is shaping up to be a great game already.

Raceland/West Carter Updates
*should be up 17 more points right now. Listening as I type lol

Raceland/West Carter Updates
Two dropped TDs now. Nerves? Gotta settle down in the second half. Should be up by 17 rt now.
-
Raceland/West Carter Updates
Lots of RBs getting touches. One dropped TD pass, another drop that would have likely set up a go ahead score. Just seem sloppy right now. Tyus having a good game at DE.

1A #4 Raceland at 3A West Carter Predictions
Not being a butt or anything here, because anyone can beat anyone on "one of those nights", especially on early August. But the two that picked West to win, what are you thoughts on why? Just interested to hear what the difference in your opinion is from the majority.

Just win baby!

Raceland 35 Bath County 0 (Scrimmage)
Im not sure. Mauk and Willett still have some work to do to get where they need to be, but imo, any variation of them, Fairchild, Wallace, Hall, Manis and Carmen will be a better and more well rounded line than what we had last year. I expect to see a heavy rotation, but right now, couldnt give a definite starting OL. The DL is all but etched in stone, imo. We are goina be stout upfront no matter what the personel is among those 7-8 guys.

Raceland 35 Bath County 0 (Scrimmage)
The defense was pretty well lights out as well. Bags really impressed me with the physicality he showed last night. If he has a good year and Bailey stays healthy and fresh at RB, it could make a world of difference.

Raceland 35 Bath County 0 (Scrimmage)
Either way, I'll take it. At any level of football the offense is usually 2 or 3 games behind the defense. Idk why, it just usually is. There were several times that kids seemed a bit confused, especially at WR and the younger RBs. But, even though we have some guys returning/upper classmen at those positions, some of them are playing new positions or have just recently returned to the gridiron. With all that said, 5 TDs in 3 quarters and at or around 400 yards of offense? Yeah, I'll take those struggles lol. In all seriousness, we still have alot of work to do. But i was suprised.

This one gets out of hand quickly. I think Bataille goes for atleast 3 TDs maybe more.

1A #4 Raceland at 3A West Carter Predictions
West will hang for the first half and can not be over looked, but this is a new year and Raceland takes a step foward while West will likely have some growing pains early on with the shifting of the skill positions and replacing the voids left upfront due to graduation. Rams 42 Comets 14

EKC Grid-O-Rama
Yeah. Definitely saw some hitting going on this evening. Very hard hitting defense by the Rams tonight.
