Welcome to the playoff edition of the Boyle Lex Cath rivalry. The regular season meeting proved to be much closer than many expected with Boyle escaping with a 16-10 win over the Knights. Both teams were able to move the ball up and down the field but struggled to finish drives due to penalties or turnovers. The team that makes the least amount of mistakes will win this one. This also features the #1 and #2 teams in the 4A RPI rating meaning the winner will have home field advantage for the reminder of the playoffs and the easiest remaining path to Kroger field. The last two meetings between these schools have resulted in a one score victory by Boyle, can Catholic get over the hump and knock off the Rebels this go around?

Agreed. It was beyond Anderson being overmatched. It seemed like they were barely trying.

Boyle raced out to a 37-0 lead in less than 10 minutes of play to start the running clock and led 52-0 until Anderson returned a kickoff back for a score at the end of the half. Anderson’s second score came against the Boyle JV/Freshman team.

Bourbon county has given Lex Cath some fits in their regular season matchups from time to time. Wouldn’t shock me to see this be a competitive game.

Corbin takes advantage of 2 Lincoln County second half turnovers to turn a 21-21 tie at the half into a more comfortable win.

Speaking of #1 having seen Boyle numerous times and now Corbin I’d have a real hard time picking Corbin over Boyle.

Now having watched both in person. I’ll take Boyle over this Corbin team playing in Lincoln county 9 times out of 10.

Lincoln gets themselves behind the chains. Offense not built for that. Has a horrible punt. Corbin ball the the Lincoln 33.

Corbin struggling to have an answer for the duo of Amon Lee and Clayton Davis. Davis made all the plays early then Corbin has decided to double him but now it’s left Lee with plenty of space. Corbin has not had any issues moving the ball down the field but a turnover and a Lincoln onside kick has left them with limited possessions. Corbin has had the ball maybe 6-7 minutes in this first half.
