NC was very impressive. Kind of like UK basketball last season with a seemingly endless amount of talent coming in and out all game. Our goal was to make it through the whole game before the mercy rule kicked in. We came real close, game was called with 1:27 left on the clock. Our starting keeper went out with about 7 minutes left with a nasty leg injury. We probably would have been able to complete full time if she could have stayed in.

How did HC manage to lose to Bellevue and get shut out in the process in their scrimmage? Bellevue D that good?

Dayton off to a good start, although it's sure to get ugly today against NCC.

Should be a close game. From what I have read, this this looks to be a solid Brossart team, better than the past 2 seasons. I still feel good about this year's Dayton team, although they struggled in their 3 way scrimmage against Bethel-Tate and Gamble. They should be able to sustain some long drives, with a fairly balanced attack. Their defense will need to step up and contain the sweeps. I predict the score will be 18-14.

They are better, but still stand no chance against those schools, we all know that. We have one player who has played select of any kind, and that's our keeper who is a frosh. Whole different world even though it's just a few miles away.

yet another thread in this forum hijacked by highlands people. Dayton scrimmages at Glen Este saturday at 930am. This is the best team they have had in years, if not ever, actually, FWIW.

Ushering in a new era in DHS football tonight (technically tomorrow.) Green/White scrimmage at 12:01. Coach Montgomery has put together a pretty cool event, punt, pass and kick for the youngsters, alumni games and meet the devils around 1030. Free and all our welcome. The team looks great so far. Better look out beechwood. :laugh::laugh::isurrender:

Not sure who it was. I just know it wasn't one of the 2 from past 2 seasons, both of whom were really good I thought.

I think they ended up beating bellevue in 7 on 7, which is somewhat significant considering what Bellevue has done to them the past 2 years. Get 2 cracks at them this year.

Always welcome at davis field. I am optimistic about the upcoming season. We are solid up front and in the middle. Lack of speed may be an issue, but it sounds like we have a couple of nice surprises in the backfield. Upcoming 7 on 7 vs. holmes should be interesting.

They have a big and experienced junior class and a few seniors that will help. The turn out this year has been better than in the past few years. If kids remain healthy and eligible, I look for 2-3 more wins this season over last.
