Guess I left a big steamer in this thread. Though, I don't see why the post was so controversial. If you are complaining about not getting any respect from a team, play them and win. Cooper did that.

Any team earns respect. It's not just given. Cooper earned it from Birds fans last Friday. If Cooper wanted it before this year, it could have come calling over the last several years.

Highlands lost to a solid Cooper team. (Spreading a little love for the Cooper fans that feel disrespected.)

Conditioning has been the same, but there was no contact from last December until well into July.

I agree with the sentiment, but this site generates income based on the "analyzation." In fact, I think it's encouraged. So, my analysis of the game. Cooper picked up where they left off last year. They will have a successful season. How successful will depend on a lot of things over many weeks. But, it looks pretty good for them in NKY especially considering that SK had a hard time with a 2A school with a freshman QB. Highlands did not -- for the first time in 8 seasons -- pick up where they left off. Offense needs a good amount of work, defense needs a little. But, Highlands has a lot of talented kids and a bunch of excellent coaches; both of which work very hard. I have no idea how Highlands' season will end. But I do know that because of the kids and coaches it will end as good as it possibly can.

So, don't comment on the game or discuss whether Highlands is any good this year, just celebrate Cooper's "opportunities to validate their place on a potential NKY throne"? I understand you are happy for Cooper and would just like to leave it at that -- especially after the first game of the season -- but we have to do more. Also, are you throwing some shade on the Neers?

Let this sink in. Well into the 3rd Quarter, SK was losing to a 2A school with a Freshman QB who put up 245 passing yards on the Neers' defense. (Thanks for the edit uk#1)

If by "those" you mean ukfan, then I'm starting to get the feeling that he's just predicting an HHS blowout so he can declare the demise of the Birds if the score isn't a blowout. I'm not positive, but that's what I think is happening.

I have 2 responses: 1. If uk#1fan wasn't always being obnoxious about SK: SK's success in this scrimmage is pretty impressive. It's great to see that an NKY team may finally be developing into a 6A force. 2. Because uk#1fan is always obnoxious about SK: X is down a little this year and was clearly experimenting with their rotation. X used the scrimmage as a tool to grow. I'm sure a regular season game would have ended with a very different score.

Well, the OP did call for "everyone's predictions." I'm sure he expected mine, so I wanted to explain why I would be unable to respond as requested.

I haven't seen Cooper play yet so I'm unable to engage in my complex analysis of players, team attributes, and play calling tendencies to arrive at a reliable predictive score.

I don't see how streaming the games would help the school. It is likely to lose money at the gate and it would make it very easy for teams to scout.

You'll find that in many places in Northern Ky where SEEK funding is askew.
