I don't think he played Varsity as an 8th grader, (that info is from my son who plays with him). Started last year as a freshman I know for sure.

Not sure of that number either.......he had 120 last year, so a 70 block improvement year to year would be a nice start in chasing it down.

Cozart, a 6' 7" sophomore with a 7' 2" wing span has set the state block record in a single season, with 191 blocks after last night Franklin County game. The record was 190 (2016) held by Graves County big man, Chris Vogt. The future is bright for the Indians and Cozart. His offensive is improving every game out, and he is learning how to stay out of foul trouble. A name that will become a familiar one in the next couple of years. Congratulations BIG man:thumb:

I haven't seen CCH play yet, we are up there next Friday to end the season, but I have seen Dunbar a couple of times including them beating Madison Central by 5. How Dunbar goes, is defiantly how Hollingsworth goes, if he can be contained to a normal for him 20-25 points they are defiantly beatable. From what I have heard and in following CCH, I think they probably have too many weapons that will make it difficult for Dunbar to win. CCH for the win, although I will be pulling for the 11th :ylsuper:

I am interested is seeing how Keita looks when he is going up and down the court. When Madison Central played them he was limping pretty noticeably. One of their coaches made the statement he was playing at 60-70% and was probably going to play at that level all year if they didn't sit him down for an extended period of time. Foot is still causing him issues he said. Hate it for him, when healthy is a really athletic big who runs the floor very well.

I agree. I have seen them play a couple of times and their length and size up front will be tough to deal with. They crash the boards hard. I know there are a lot of other good teams in the tournament, but I think I would have to go with LCA for the win.

Great write-up.:thumb: Central is starting to look a lot more comfortable on the offensive end, and with Cozart anchoring down the defensive end, things are starting to click. Friday at Trinity will be a big test for them, I don't see us going in and winning, but if we play them close, that tells me they are on the right track to finish out the season. Cozart is close to getting a triple double in points, rebounds and blocks every night. Dustin Geralds has been starting to shoot the ball well and scoring over the last week and Isaiah Minter looks to be getting his confidence back and comfortably running the point after a knee injury this summer. It should be a great last month or so, and I think we could defiantly ruin a higher seeded teams day come regional tournament time. Time will tell.

Glad to hear this, he is a great kid and will defiantly make Waggener a contender in the 7th region.

Great work as always:ylsuper:. Fern Creek continues to show that they have multiple weapons and they don't have to rely on any single person on any given night to win. It will be a dog fight in the 6th for sure for the rest of the year. BE at number 4 tells you how strong the top of the 6th is this year.
