  1. Start of the 2nd half Cozart has rejected 2 of Keita shots back to back....I am sure that might be a first for him he looked dismayed. Central 35-17
  2. Talking to the asst Cordia coach before the game he said they left 2 players at home. It must have been their scorers, Cordia is no threat outside 12 feet tonight.
  3. Cordia big man's foot still must not be 100%. Limping pretty noticeably.
  4. Southern came back from 15 down to win by 6. Pikeville looked bad the last 5 minutes, had no good possessions. Gave the game away.
  5. Madison Southern Goldstar Classic Southern And Pikeville just finished up
  6. It is being played at Madison Southern. JV at 5 and Varsity at 6:30
  7. just goes to show, when ppl on here start talking about all the high D1 and D1 talent they seem to be seeing in watching KY HS games...........mid-major at best and D2, NAIA talent is a better description for most, not all of KY best ranked players. And that is not knocking the highest level kids in KY, its more a knock on the ppl trying to elevate them to a level they aren't.
  8. Is the schedule above still correct? if not does anybody know when Christian Academy plays today. I work in Berea and would like to sneak over and watch them play. Thanks
  9. One of the things I most miss about not being in Louisville any more is getting to the KOB. It is a tournament that always has great talent, and is run top notch.:thumb:
  10. Great work as always! Madison Central is finding the road a bumpy one and it won't get any easier as the schedule is a tough one through out the year. If they can continue to grow with each game, and not let the wins and loses become an issue, they will be a factor come tournament time. Lot of youth and inexperienced players getting experience the tough way.
  11. Love me some Anthony Wales...........not well known PG, but not many better.
  12. I have been watching him play since 8th grade and he has always been one of my favorite players to watch play. I would go so far as to say, even if the others had stayed, he would be the best player on the court. Again like Onebad said, I am talking about HS player and not potential. He has a complete game and is a joy to watch on the court.
  13. I agree totally, it is unfair to call the kids out for leaving programs. Most college kids don't make it thru the first year and they don't have a schedule of......6am weights, 7 am breakfast, class from 8-12, 1:00 skills work, practice from 2-4, dinner, film from 6-7, then study hall (required as a freshman) from 8-9:30. That was my day, everyday during the year that it wasn't game day. Add in the travel and you sort of feel like you have a FULL time job and are a full-time student. defiantly not for everybody. I had to laugh at your glamorize comment.......all that wears off on the first day HAHA
  14. I agree the demands are great, yes, I did play D1 ball, but I think it has more to do with a lot of kids, parents, and people around them looking thru distorted lenses. They have been told from day one that D1, and the bigger the name school the better. When they should have been looking for the best fit and where they could get on the floor. When you are the man in high school, as most of these kids are, most of them have a hard time adjusting to sitting on the bench and being a practice player rather then a game player. Most of the KY kids would best be served looking at smaller D1 programs or D2 or NAIA because that is really where their talent level is. Sure the big name schools recruit them, which means they have the talent to play at that level, but at that point you are at best equal to most of the other talent, if not behind them. These kids cant be told enough, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE FIT, and where your talent can best be utilized instead of what the name on the swag you get so when you come home everybody knows you are on the D1 team. Of course, just my 2 cents worth.
  15. I see were he is transferring from Vanderbilt, anybody heard anything about where he may be going. I always liked his game.
  16. This is exactly why he ended up at this size school as a head coach and none of the other bigger programs came after him as a head coach. I think the success he has had at Alabama is more to do with Saban and being strictly an OC then what he can do as a coach. Alabama won't miss a beat, and Kiffen should do well there I think. I guess we will see if he learned anything about running a program while he was at Alabama.
