Its interesting to read the comments but today it seems the player with 30 points per game would immediately be viewed as great/more talented regardless of assists per game, rebounds per game, strength of schedule, talent of teammates etc. When I see player of the week contests it is generally based on points per game. I watched a game last night that showed an example of both, i.e. Team A had one player with talent so every play revolved around him getting a shot or trying to score and he had 30+ points. Team B had multiple talented players and their scoring was more balanced. If you were watching the game you would say that at least one player on Team B was more talented than the player with 30 points but my question is... if you saw only line scores what would you immediately think?

If you have a lot of talent and don't win the blame almost always goes back to the leadership. It is much the same in corporations that do not succeed and Management has to be replaced.

I still don't get PRP but all polls have them in the top 15 it seems. Record is Among their wins, Valley, J-town, Shawnee, Thomas Nelson, Butler, Holy Cross, Southern, Seneca (by 4), Fern Creek (by 8) The only quality win was Bryan Station by 4 .. 2 wins and 2 losses against out of state competition. Am I missing something?

Bullitt East was missing starting point guard Bailey Rakes & just never got in the flow of the game. Definitely still should have won ..

Good point but I believe the only ranked team they have beaten in KY is Bryan Station. Fern Creek played with them in a close game and they only beat Seneca by 4 back on 12/22..

I saw PRP again at the LIT and do not see the logic behind them being a top 10 team.... can you explain?

Not sure if it's a fact or not but I was told that assists are not reported because there is too much subjectivity on whether to give an assist or not. For instance if a post player makes a move after receiving the ball in some instances it may not warrant an assist but will depend on the stat keeper on whether to award one or not.

Larry Whelan Rowan County point guard averaging 8 assists per game , In my opinion one of the best in the state. Are true point guards under appreciated today where points scored seems to take priority ??

I have only watched PRP twice this year with the latest being their loss to Central in the LIT. I do not see what everyone else does when it comes to ranking them in the top 20.

I think momentum means alot especially when you are playing a young team like Fern Creek. I believe there was a chance BE would have won big if the pressure had stayed on in the first quarter/first half. This is not being negative toward the FC program at all because they definitely have some talented young men and a great coach. They did a good job on Sharpe in the first half holding him to only one 3 point attempt . If Bullitt East can figure out how to put together a complete game before they meet again I think the margin will be much greater. One point to note though which may be the Bullitt East coaches philosophy is although you always want to win games now the ones that count come later and those valuable minutes the reserves are getting could play dividends down the stretch....

It really depends on which Bullitt East Team shows up.. They have the talent to beat just about anyone and have shown it at times but have been playing very up and down so far this year.

Worse game BE has had finishing at the rim on easy baskets that we normally make which may have been nerves . Even though there's experience this is a big stage for players.

Jared Osbourne was was out the last game with a concussion but I believe he will be back for KOB.

Yes & with finals this week they don't play so they should be well prepared.

Regarding Butler vs Bullitt East Sharpe & Farris both played sick. Sharpe didn't start due to missing practice the day before the game & only scored 10 points well below his average of 18.4. Bacon didn't start for other reasons. so things started off badly. To their credit, Butler had a couple of nice players and looked better than expected.
