Nice bounce back win for Collins after losing badly to Oldham County Tuesday night. Collins swept this triple-header wining Freshman, JV, and Varsity in close fashion.

 

The Titans are back in action tomorrow night at Henry County against Simon Kenton.

Collins with another big win. Chris Gaither doing a great job with this bunch, that loss to Oldham notwithstanding.

I'm a Collins homer, but also a Bullitt East defender on this board. There's no defending this one. With the talent level of these two teams, this one shouldn't have been close. Great win for the Titans. But honestly, this shouldn't have been a close game.

Bullitt East was missing starting point guard Bailey Rakes & just never got in the flow of the game. Definitely still should have won ..

I believe inconsistency is the best way to describe this East team this year. Even without Rakes...Way too many turnovers, especially on the pass. I am convinced East needs to simplify the game, go inside - out, the post play matchup is usually always in they're favor, with the 2 bigs...Go to it! I see way too much dribbling, and soft perimeter passing. Take it down low more, and if the defense collapses, both bigs are very descent at finding the open man. Substitution pattern still needs improving, when East has 3 subs in at once, good things rarely happen, too many times they have killed their own runs. I give credit to Collins tonight, they worked the ball well around the perimeter, and got open three's all night long.

When I've seen them, they've used a different point guard a lot. That kid didn't play much last night for some reason. They had Sharpe running the point, and all that does is nullify him as a shooter. It's a lot harder to pull up off the dribble than to catch and shoot.

Both teams are really solid looking for both to make some noise here in the latter part of the season

I was there. Not a lot of rhyme or reason behind substitution patterns for Bullitt East. Kept playing freshman PG who is too weak to help the varsity right now.

 

My biggest issue with East is that they have 2 good bigs and don't ever set a ball screen. Farris excels as a ball screen and roll man.
