They won though right? How is that giving it away?

The lead Northstar. can't seem to nail the box shut when they get up.

Sorry. I just misunderstood you. Anyone have more details? Bullitt East seems to be an enigma this year.

Pat the rock u are dead on this one. East was having they're way with FC, and building momentum, then all the sudden massive substitution, pretty much a JV squad out there...FC rolls off 8 straight, gets back in the game, builds confidence, now has momentum, then it's a dog fight the rest of the way. We were all scratching our heads by the coaching decision...Especially in such a meaningful game!

I have no idea the substitution patter the BE coach typically plays, but it is not unusual for a team to lose a 15 point lead against an equal team just through the ebb & flow or momentum swings in a game. Fern Creek is a good team and the last thing I would suggest is that if the Coach kept his starters in they would have won by a big margin. I do not think that is giving the Fern Creek team enough credit. Perhaps the rest paid off in the end. Tyler Sharpe hit some big threes in the 4th quarter and with dead legs they do not got in. I just don't think you can play the what if game.

Those two teams battled. Fern Creek starting three freshmen might just have came out tight in a big district game. All three of them scored double figures so they got it going at some point, but I would not agree this game is a blow out if the coach did not play the reserves. I was there, they did not play an entire quarter or anything like that. When they went on the little run they came out pretty quickly. I suspect the district playoff game will be just as close. Fern Creek's leading scorer, Tony Washington, had an off night scoring as he only had 5 points. I think it will be a great rematch when they face off again.

I think momentum means alot especially when you are playing a young team like Fern Creek. I believe there was a chance BE would have won big if the pressure had stayed on in the first quarter/first half. This is not being negative toward the FC program at all because they definitely have some talented young men and a great coach. They did a good job on Sharpe in the first half holding him to only one 3 point attempt . If Bullitt East can figure out how to put together a complete game before they meet again I think the margin will be much greater. One point to note though which may be the Bullitt East coaches philosophy is although you always want to win games now the ones that count come later and those valuable minutes the reserves are getting could play dividends down the stretch....

Basketballfan that is a great analysts. Every Coach is different in their style of play, most of us are use to Coach Barr and his never let up way. Giving your reserves valuable playing time is the building foundation of a good program. However East is not UK, mass substitution of 3-4 players on the floor will not work.

I did not see them last night, but I did see them at the King of Bluegrass. I will say they look a lot better when they have 3 guards on the floor and only one of the big kids. I assume that's what they did last night because of Fern Creek's speed?

Actually in this game, East was doing most of their damage with both bigs in the game. Though throughout the game there were a variation of mixed lineups.

I was at the game and it was a good one. I thought Washington's shot at the buzzer was going in. Fern Creek could be scary good by the time those freshmen are juniors and seniors.
