CAL wins no clue on the score but Wright is the Truth

I talked to one of my close friends from UC. He said this will be a down year for Union City. They are trying incorporate a passing game in to their offense which they've never had. He said from what he's been hear from some of the players that work for him, it's not looking like a promising year like years past.

Wright was a absolute stud! I enjoyed watching him play. He looks like he's a senior compare to most of those kids. Good game, overall turnovers killed us. I'm not going to mention the officiating but it wasn't much different from last week. Congrats to CAL. We shall see you again but this time next year it will be in the Purchase Area. Good Luck at state.

DeSales Dad, I know we're just giving you a hard time but we do appreciate the analysis. I believe CAL will be tough a nails but we believe in our boys. Arnett is a huge loss. We can down play it all we want but his presence will most definitely be missed. He's a freak of nature out there on the defensive end and you always want that type of player in the trenches with you. I think Mayfield will find a way to pull it out. Coaching staff is too smart and experienced. They found a way to beat McCracken and Corbin without the likes of Trajon and they'll figure this one out also. CAL videos of Paulson and Wright are just crazy but MF fans you guys remember a few years back when we played fairview at state? When I looked at their highlights and saw the size and speed of the players I was like "we really could lose this game". We all know it was obviously a blowout in the end but I went in think one or 2 mistakes could kill us but time after time when I doubt them they prove me wrong. So I know it'll be tough but I'm through doubting. 17-10 MF

OK, so mayfield has one of the best offenses in 2A so what point are you trying to make exactly? Look,I'm going to let you all in on a secret. Louisville/Lexington teams always make me nervous. The talent in those areas are ridiculously good. It always makes me think this could be it for our run. The coach staff always comes up with a game plan that puts our boys in the best position to win. I'll be the first to say that us Cardinals fans don't assume were going to win just for showing up. I always believe if we make it then we got a heck of a shot to win it. My prediction MF 17-10

Lol, yeah I know diesel but they just get me so worked up lol I am a homer/former player so yes I'm MF all the way. One thing I'm not is delusional. There were years that we won state when we thought it was going to be a down year because of how young the team was and they still pulled it out. So trust me when I say whoever the opponent it is these kids and coach will Over prepare for them and because of that I'm confident.

Correction, don't they need to be hitting on all cylinders? What puzzles me is how every time teams get beat they automatically assume the team that beat them can or will win it all? Don't forget MF is the defending 2A Champs, let's not forget that. Let's not forget that they have not allowed more than a TD a game in the playoffs. Don't forget we get better game by game. Please to don't misconstrued my words but we ain't traveling to Louisville to lose. These kids are very humble and treat every opponent, from CAL to Webster County, as a threat to beat them. That coaching staff is unbelievable. Year in and year out mayfield is aways in the conversation for the state title and that starts with coaching staff.

Ok so a 3-7 Highlands put up 53 pts against Simon Keaton who clearly had a running clock against CAL. Desales fans please tell me what I'm missing?? Your telling me that a bad Highlands team, which seems to be rare btw, can put up 53 pts against a team that slaughtered CAL?? So your telling me that in essence a 3-7 regular season Highlands team could beat you guys by 2 touchdowns or more?

Trajon was out. I love MF but on the highlights he was out on that catch. Anyways, last year we were beatable and the year before that. What all these these fans from other schools have in common is they all say the same thing after losses. They all go from class act to delusional. If your an OC fan/alumni you should only be mad at the refs for not giving MF anymore asinine penalties to set OC up for an epic comeback.

Just like I predicted, full of excuses. In 2 years this OC Team will be tough to beat but until then I don't wanna hear it. Dang near every penalty went in OC favor and they capitalized one time. I'm not sure who said it, but I agree, if the field were dry I'm talking at least 40 pts by mayfield put up.

I agree, this game should have not been this close. I hate it when the refs take over games. That ejection was ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous!! They honestly shouldn't have scored that game. If it were for the officiating, that score would look a lot worse. I know that may offend someone OC fans but that's the truth. Mayfield was even better, once again on D.

Million dollar question.... how did Apollo hold both Owensboro and OC to just 35/36 posted? Is odd to me that Graves posted 51 on Apollo. I would assume those teams would have blown those games open. Am I missing something here?

I believe it was a running clock by the half also remember Mr #22 didn't even play in that game or like the previous 2 or 3 games. He didn't even play against Corbin and I believe he only played the first quarter of the McCracken County game.

I agree, I think it's the deepest we've been on defense in as long as I can remember. I think mayfield just tends to get comfortable/bored after semi big leads. Which leads to teams coming back and making it a game. We controlled the paducah/McCracken/Corbin games and they just got complacent at times which in essence led to comebacks.
