  1. All I know is he's about 6"4, long arms, athletic as all get out and can flat out play. He transferred to Morgan county from a school in Maryland.
  2. I think they are both out for two weeks, sprained ankles I believe for both guys.
  3. Sounds like Russell gave Rowan all they could handle. I heard on the radio that the game was tied going into the 4th. Russell must be much improved from earlier in the year.
  4. I'm guessing Rowan moves to 1. Boyd drops to 2. The winner of the All A finals between Morgan and Elliott 3 and 4. East Carter 5. If Morgan loses to Elliott co they will probably be 5, and flip flop them and East. Lewis 6 Raceland 7 maybe.
  5. Breathitt is down this year also, but I believe still have too much for Lee to pull the upset. I'll take Breathitt county by 22.
  6. Morgan will play the winner of Elliott county vs West Carter Thursday night in the finals from Menifee county.
  7. Raceland really could have used those two, as Morgan's athleticism really started to show in the 3rd quarter. The Rams didn't have an answer for Perry who was able to get to the basket about anytime he wanted in the 2nd half. Raceland played well defensiviely though in the 1st half and kept the game within reach. Would have liked to seen Messer and Blair healthy.
  8. Or Croatins. Maybe a 6'7 kid that can shoot it, and a smooth ball handling 6'4 exchange student.
  9. Agree. Menifee has no quality wins this season. Barely beat a Cumberland team (0-17) by 6. They should win several more games this year though due to their weak schedule. If they start 5 seniors this year and are only 8-11 then it may be a few more years before they see this many wins again. Very hard to win consistenly in French Vegas.
  10. Elliott co won the first match up by 10 and the last one by 17. Elliott is playing very well right now. I predict Elliott county 65 West Carter 49.
  11. Final in the first round of the 16th region all A.
  12. For East Carter Sparks 20 pts and Connor Green had 17. For Morgan County Jordan Perry scored 23 points and became the school's all time leading scorer and now has 2178 with a season and half to go to finish his high school career. Congrats to East Carter on the big district win and Perry for his accomplishment.
  13. I have seen both teams play several times this year, and I believe Rowan is a little better. With the game being at Rowan I think that gives them more of an advantage. I'll take Rowan by 8 in this one.
  14. No chance that Rose Hill could beat any team in the 16th region this year. None. If every team lost thier best two players Rose Hill would still have no shot. A very average Menifee county team beat them by 45 points earlier this year. They just don't have the kids to compete.
  15. A couple of things stand out for me. Lee County has only attempted 30 ft's in 17 games, Green County only 16 attempts in 16 games. And Letcher County Central is for 4 for 9 on the year in 3pt fg?? Those stats for those teams must not be fully update. But thanks for posting this AndOneDad. I enjoyed looking at those #'s.
  16. And the beat goes on....I could not have ever imagined an Ashland team ever starting the year at 0-16.
  17. 16th Region: Morgan County's Jordan Perry. 26.4 PPG, and 47% from the field. Been saying it all year, hands down top player in the 16th, and should be receiving more attention state wide. He gets double and triple teamed every night out and still puts up amazing #'s.
  18. Morgan won the first meeting by 16. Thoughts on tomorrow night's game in West Liberty?
  19. If Elliott plays like they did last night i think they can beat Rowan or Boyd. Elliott goes to Rowan next Thur. I know Boyd beat the Lions by 12 earlier this season. But like you said Elliott is really coming together these last few games. It went from a 6 point game at halftime last night, and then Elliott went on a huge run in the 3rd quarter. Morgan's best two players got in foul trouble, but Perry stayed in the whole game. He just couldn't be as agressive on the defensive end. Elliott's offense was clicking last night and when they got that big lead they played smart and ran the clock. Their bigs dominated the rebounding last night, both on the offensive and defensive end. Holbrook for Elliott played great. And for Morgan I think Perry ended with 18 and the rest of the team a combined 20.
