Morgan County 74 Russell 37
Bball Legend replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Yep. He has been a starter since 7th grade. He started playing middle school as a 4th grader and played until his 6th grade year. Morgan needed him his 7th grade year, as they struggled bad even getting the ball up the floor. They won 2 games all year that year. -

Jordan is 6"3 1/2. Probably grew 2 full inches since last season and added 10 pounds of muscle. The kid puts in more work than any high school player I have ever been around. He comes in to the gym several days a week at 6am to work on his game and it is definitely paying off. -

Rowan County 64 Morgan County 49
Bball Legend replied to goldenbucs's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Rowan played well. Callahan had a great game. At the start of the 4th it was 45-43. Perry was off last night, and Rowan county did a good job on him. Morgan's big guy getting in foul trouble did not help them any. Morgan struggled rebounding when he was out of the game. Rowan still the team to beat IMO. -
Morgan County 75 Fleming County 59

Yes sir he most def is. He was already pretty good prior to this year. But he took this summer off from AAU (Hoop Dreams from Lex) ball to get his hip healed up and really worked on his game. He is dunking now, any way he wants to. And has range to 25 ft out. Morgan plays Rowan tomorrow night at Russell in the EKC tourney, and could push Rowan in this one. Rowan will still be favored I am sure. But don't be surprised if Morgan doesn't give Rowan all they can handle. -

Zac Alexander, Eugene Hamm, Ashton Hall, Aaron James, and Wilder Williams. Bradley Blevins and Jacob Boyd also play some. Williams is their best player. About a 6"5 post player. They lost a lot from last years sweet 16 team. Gonna be a long year for them I think. -

Correction. Perry was 23 for 26 from the ft line. If anyone hasn't seen this kid play in awhile you should. Best player in the 16th and it's not even close. -

If those FT stats are correct, then I'd say that is where the game was lost for Fairview. -

Wow! Free throw shooting was terrible in this one! 13-25 and 16-37 -

Elliott county has to be the front runner in this district. Big win for them. -
Morgan County 86 Bath County 65
Bball Legend replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Morgan county shot 10-21 on 3pt fg's. Jordan Perry had 33 pts on 13 for 19 shooting and was 5 for 7 from 3pt land, also had 8 rebounds. Holden Redparth had 13 pts and 5 reb for Morgan. 8th grader Blake Evans chipped in with 11 pts on 3 for 4 3pt fg's, that kid can shoot. No stats were listed for Bath on KHSAA website. -
Dec 12 Elliott co @ Boyd co. Lawrence co @ Raceland. On Dec 13 Morgan co @ West Carter. Also in the Roundball Classic on Dec 13 at Boyd co the games are Rowan vs Johnson Central (no time listed) Pikeville vs Ashland at 3:30 and Wheelersburg Ohio vs Boyd co at 8:45. And I agree with Wireman if you like Chinese food the China Star in Morehead is very good.

Bryan Station 73 Rowan County 62
Bball Legend replied to BlacknGold's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Agree completely! I think due to the players they had returning and the 7-2 record they posted over their last 9 games last year, people were thinking they were gonna be better than they actually are. After seeing what Southwestern did to them I don't see them being a ranked team. -
Kentucky 70 Texas 58. UK just has too much depth for Texas and they just wear teams down. Regardless of how good shape these kids are in too many fresh legs for UK to keep putting in.

Just wondering if anyone has a shot to make it into the top 20 on Kentucky's all time scoring list this season or can get to 3000 points for their career? Barring injury Morgan County Junior Jordan Perry (over 1800 now) could move into possibly 5th place by the end of his high school career. Another 16th region player from Elliott co. Jonathan Ferguson had 3,377 for his career and is the 5th all time leading scorer.

Bryan Station 73 Rowan County 62
Bball Legend replied to BlacknGold's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Game was at Rowan county. Rowan is ranked anywhere from 1 to 3 in the 16th region pre season polls. I believe I seen on here where max preps even had them ranked #5 in the state. That is very inaccurate. They are not a top 25 team. -
Elliott County at East Carter Predictions

I think Elliott wins this one by 8. The 62nd district looks to be very balanced this year. -
Prestonsburg/Danville Predictions

With the game being at Danville I'm predicting Danville 26 Prestonsburg 22. Should be a good game.
