This team starts 4 jr's, and a sr. 6'8 Ben Jordan averages around 13ppg and 14 rpg. He is very skilled and runs the floor well. Hayden Rowe is 6" 4 and leads them in scoring at 18 a game, and over 11 rpg. He can get hot and put up 30+. Dalton Brown is a quick guard and averages 17 a game. He is probably their best 3 point shooter. Braden Brown averages close to 12 pts per game. I look for West to try and keep this game in the 60's. Should be a good one.

I'll take West by 7 in this one. They are hot out of the gate and playing with a lot of confidence.

Anyone have the total # of fouls and ft's for both teams? Seems like there were so many ticky tack fouls that neither team really got into a rhythm.

Final from Olive Hill in overtime. Morgan had 4 players foul out, East had a couple foul out too. Morgan was not good from the line, don't have the final #'s on those though. Morgan finished the game with 3 freshman, and Perry and Banks on the floor. For East Carter they were led in scoring by Brady Bush with 18. Bush carried East Carter in the 4th quarter and overtime. Cameron Bailey had 14. Cameron Sparks had 11. For Morgan Jordan Perry had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Najeh Banks scored 24. Ryan Adams had 7 before he fouled out. Michael Prater finished with 1 point and also fouled out. If Morgan is to make a serious run at the region Prater has to be more productive and not get in foul trouble. Sparkman fouled out with 4 points. Hunter Collins came off the bench and fouled out as well. East moves on to play West Carter Thursday night in the finals of the EKC.

I don't think this is an upset either. I believe West will give Morgan and Elliott a run for the district title this year in the 62nd. Ben Jordan is a man among boys against most 16th region teams. And with Rowe and Brown they are very balanced with a lot of size.

Travis Dunn scored 23 points, James Blair scored 22 for Perry Central. Hazard was led by junior forward Jason Johnson, who scored nine points. Hazard went 1 of 18 from 3 point land. The Commodores won without junior power forward Damon Tobler, who will miss at least six games with a broken thumb on his shooting hand. Tobler averaged 10.9 ppg and 8.2 reb last year for Perry Central.

Final from West Liberty. Raceland falls to 1-1 on the year. Raceland was lead in scoring by Tyler Morris with 20, Davidson had 7 and Braden 5. Morgan County was lead by Jordan Perry with 25, Blake Evans had 10, Najeh Banks and Michael Prater both had 9 points. Ryan Adams with 8 and Deejay Sparkman had 4. Morgan moves to 2-0 on the year. Morgan co will play Fleming county tomorrow night in the EKC tournament. Raceland will play Dawson Bryant from Coal Grove, Ohio on Dec 8th at home.

How did Morgan co and Johnson Central look?

Sorry for the confusion. Just talked to someone close to the Rowan county program. Antrobus is enrolled and attending Rowan county. As far as his eligibility is concerned, with his dad currently residing in Morehead I see no reason as to why he won't be ruled eligible. This boosts Rowan county's chances within the region tremendously. The kid is a great scorer!

I heard he is still going to Pendleton county.

Jordan Perry #1 , I think you could choose any of the kids I have on that list and be 2-22. As far as teams go I'd put Elliott, Morgan, Rowan, Boyd as the top 4. Lewis, East and West I also think will have a good year. I'll continue to read some of this garbage because it is so entertaining. But this will be my last post as some just wanna post about Morgan county's pipeline to get players, their weak schedule, or how bad Jordan Perry is. I think it's funny that some only criticize their teams coach and how bad he is. Maybe it just comes down to the kids not wanting to get better and being uncoachable. After all the coach can't go out there and make baskets. All I know is Greenup co lost twice to Morgan last year. And one of those was a 19 point loss. Greenup 9-9 in the region. Morgan was 16-6. When you lose to Rowan county by 36 don't really think it matters who you schedule, you aren't gonna win many.

Or maybe the city he lived in was filled with violence and gangs and his family wanted to bring him to a smaller town and raise their kids. Yep, that is it 100%. Regardless of how he got here the bottom line is this, he is here, he is eligible to play and attend school at Morgan. The school has welcomed him and his family with open arms. So Those few of us that support the school and athletic programs will continue to do so.

You guys don't have some hatred built up do you? Maybe if you let go of some of that hatred in heart you will focus more on the real important things in life. Those of us that live in West Liberty like it just fine. No need to put the city down.

Holden Redparth attended Northwood high school in Silver Springs Maryland.

I don't think he moved in til after the season was several games in. Not sure of the grades. I assume so though. Could have been hard on him and the other players though with having to learn the plays and could have hurt team chemistry. That's always a tough thing to do when you throw a kid in like that during the middle of the year.
