Lamb put in a perfectly placed ball just past the outstretched hand of the diving EC keeper. Wulfeck knocked it a goal late from close range after EC had trouble clearing the ball out of their penalty box. EC had one soft goal and Volker hit a nice free kick from 19 yards, hit with pace and good placement late in the game.

CCH did dominate the first 20 minutes and if not for EC's keeper they would have had a couple more early goals. CCH emptied their bench midway through both halves and the two injuries caused some shifting of positions, both issues had an impact on the final score. Looked like the one injury was minor and may not cause any missed time. The other player had a more serious injury but heard he was doing better, hopefully his recovery is short and he will be back soon. Both are important players moving forward. Congratulations to Mr Volker on signing with UC, they are getting a very good player.

Interesting. 2-2 at end of regulation not a shock, both teams have shown they will give up goals but still thought St Henry would out score NCC. Not surprised NCC wins in PKs. What was the final PK count? Good luck to NCC in your next All A game, keep it going.

This one surprises me, figured Ryle would handle #52 N Oldham @ home with no problem.

Both teams played well, an entertaining game. EC has some nice players, #10 cm is very, very good heard he's headed to Xavier next yr. Their keeper is very quick and athletic, made a lot of great plays tonight. LOSB had a real nice game and a few others. CCH still going deep and lots of minutes. Both halves saw 7 non starters on the field at the same time for good peroids of time. Starting line up a new look and it worked well, cch went up 2-0 early. Good effort and result after a less then acceptable performance on Thursday @ WH.

Hopefully this will get corrected and Stava will get credit for two, well earned goals. I'm not sure how CCH or any other school handles recording offical stats these days. In the past some schools relied on the team manager which was a student, which may or may not completely understand all of the official rules. I would hope the head coach reviews these sort of things.

Becoming harder to predict CCH games given different starting lineups and players at different positions each game causing very inconsistent performances. EC has a very good CM player but not sure enough in other places. CCH 2 - EC 0

Both teams have shown they will give up goals. By far NCC toughest opponent to date. St Henry 3 - NCC 1

Not picking on any one team, only making my point ( I did this same thing on the boys side). The average strength of schedule for the 17 teams in the scoring leaders is 633. The average strength of schedule for current top 17 ranked teams is 93.7

Both, but a bad night more of a factor IMO. Not converting no less then three 1v1s with keeper and a large number of unforced turnovers will do in a lot of teams. I would add, what did we learn from this? to "recoup and move on."

Hard to know the full extent of any game without seeing it in person. But from reading post about both Anderson and Ryle, my take is both of their strengths are their defense. Really surprises me to learn Anderson scores 3 goals in the first half then plays their bench the second half and cruses to an easy win. Could have just been "one of those games" for Ryle. As mentioned above "time will tell where they fit in the NKY landscape. I still lean towards Ryle, CCH, St Henry and maybe one more team will be the teams to beat come October.

Nice win for Grant Co. Grant Co plays Simon Kenton, @ Calvary Christian and Beechwood in a span of about a week in the middle of September, will be a good indicator of how good they are.

Was Anderson up 3-0 at the half? Pulling starters at the half and still dominating the game?

Have to ask the same question, does he have no help? HC has given up a lot of goals so far and they have not played a tough schedule. #30, #98...

I posted this on the girls side. And the average strength of schedule of the 15 teams on the leader board is a 500. As comparison the average strength of schedule of the current top 15 ranked team is 88.2. Without knowing the level of play each player has played against, how many individual goals were scored in comparison to how many goals her team scored in each particular game, the competitiveness of each game, etc, etc, how can anyone evaluate or compare one player from team A to a player on team B, team C, etc? As an example, in a recent season there was a player (will not name names or team name) that was amongst the leading goal scorers in NKY. Their team played a rather weak schedule and if you looked closer you would discover they scored a large percentage of their goals in very one sided contests. One example this player had 5 goals when their team won 8-0 in two different games. Taking another closer look and this player went scoreless in a number of games against good teams. I'm not knocking any of the leaders, its not their decision which teams are on their schedule. But to be fair, evaluating stats and leaders requires an in depth look at who they played against, when and at what situations did a majority of their goals, assist, etc happen.

Did someone say Anderson "may be a bit over hyped"? If Anderson and Walnut Hills both tied the same Wyoming team then this "over hyped" statement may have some merits. The issue with this situation is when it comes to scrimmages and even early season games, its really hard to make an evaluation on any team unless you know the roster well and were there in person to see how the coaches used their roster in these games. Until teams get deeper into the season and coaches begin to settle on their starting lineups, settle on who will play which position and which players will come off the bench on a regular basis will we will really know who is for real. And I assume based on many different factors, depth being number 1, experience, coaching philosophies, etc. some teams already have there lineup and rotations known and some may not decide for another few weeks.

Wasn't aware of Anderson's scrimmage results, impressive. I would expect both teams (Anderson and CCH) to improve over the month, should be a great match. France is really good, will be a top contender for 2018 WC.
