Difficult game to predict, I may be wrong but I think this is Walnut Hills's first regular season game. I've heard they are a bit down but still very well coached. CCH is still playing their entire roster lots of minutes, impacting their flow, intensity, and overall effectiveness. CCH 3 - Walnut Hills 0

Look for lower score, 1-1 tie.

HHS 3 - Brossart 1

What about the rest of their (Beechwood) team? Midfield, defenders, keeper? With the exception of Cooper and HHS they should be competitive in all of their remaining games.

I am surprised at this score and more so given the post on the other thread, Beechwood missed a PK. Who would have thought NCC would struggle to beat Beechwood HS in boys soccer 4 short year after Beechwood FINALLY was able to convince the administration into starting a boys soccer program? Does NCC play St Henry in the next round of the All A? The KHSAA site list St Henry in the 11 Region of the ALL A, assume this is a misprint.

Agree, the Ryle Vs Simon Kenton game has the potential to be a marquee match up. Have heard lots about Zoeller, big players must play big in big games. IMO this is what seperates the good players from the exceptional, true impact type players. Wish I could be there to watch it unfold.

I agree Scott played with less, lets say dirty tactics then in the past. But they had one player receive a red card for what appeared to be dissent, possibly foul language directed at the ref immediately following the showing of a yellow card. "team under control" may still be a work in progress.

"tough game for anyone" meaning anyone on their (Grant Co) schedule or any team in the state? If you are saying Grant Co would be a "tough game for anyone", any team in the state that is a very, very bold statement.

I have a bit of a problem believing MC had 28 legit shots ON GOAL but weren't able to convert one. Maybe its accurate, I wasn't there. But I've heard many fans over the years describe a shot on goal as basically any ball the rolls toward goal, which many are simply and easily scooped up by the keeper. IMO those are not shots on goal, I define those as unforced turnovers. If MC did have a legit 28 shots ON GOAL but didn't put one in the back of the net, it just may be a long season for the Indians, just saying.

Why the need to point this out, and your only comment on the game ? IMO 4 YCs is not an excessive number for a HS game, where a lot of referees are quick to pull out the card.

Thanks for pointing this game out Birdie Tweet. To my defense it is not listed on the KHSAA site, is it a late addition to the HHS schedule? How is Ursuline Academy (no Saint in their name) this season? They can be pretty good to average. Typically not in the same "league" as St Ursula Academy.

Not a lot of traffic on the girls side yet this season. Any comments to make regarding some interesting match ups scheduled to be played today? I believe YC's point of saying "current top 20" is a good one. Along with other comments on this thread tend to indicate the accuracy of the Maher rankings this early in the season is maybe just a step or two ahead of guess your (intelligent) best. An example, the Cincinnati Enquirer put out a preseason coaches poll. This poll had Anderson HS ranked #2 in D1 in Cincinnati. The Maher ranking currently has them ranked #109 in OH. Quite a LARGE discrepancy. With that said my hat's off to Madison Central for putting together a difficult and challenging schedule. Good luck and good health to the Indians this season.
