Is there any chance there will be a running clock in the Highlands/CovCath game?
CCH has a turnover and some bad penalties in the first game so saying Highlands have it away is a little over the top.

“CCH will have to defend some sets they haven’t seen on film. I’ll leave it at that.” Absolutely goes both ways. I agree with the above post regarding CCH benefiting more from the prior game. The young quarterback weathered a storm in injun territory and now has the confidence and home field.

“Most of those yards were gained on short fields and those point totals were stunted by running clocks.” You can’t gain most yards on short fields because there aren’t many yards on a short field. CCH had two long drives in the fourth quarter ended on a fumble and downs. Casey had a thirty to forty yard run on a different drive. It bodes well as the QB got deeper in the game the drives were longer..

Between timeouts, breaks, penalties, half, and taking some plays off, these young kids hold up pretty damn well.

By my count, CovCath had only 3 three and outs, one of which was after the pick on the one. In the fourth quarter they had two sustained drives. One they fumbled deep in Highlands end and one they turned over on downs near Highlands 30. So not like the Colonels didn’t move the ball.

No good. The farmers Almanac beat you to it on the weather. As for Birds, it’s for the Birds.

Colonels will score at least 35 at home. Don’t think the D gives that much up. Maybe 35-21. If the secondary plays a great game not even 21.

There was a strip for 6 by CCH taken away by the refs in the first game. There were penalties and flat out missed tackles that allowed drives to continue. So, add the TD to CCH and take away the HHS score on that drive and it’s 21 point margin. Take a some slips and missed backfield tackles in the rain and it could have been close to that in the first game. That said, anything can happen. There is enough speed on both sides that one play can change the game.

Number 33 last week was running through the D like they were in cement. Hope Casey has the same fun.

28 straight wins overall and 4 in a row over the birds.

Hope not. 6 out of seven is too many games in the rain... I’ll take a 1 point game if that’s what it is. I think the home field this time is enough to get the win streak to 28 and 4 over the birds.

Does WC run the triple option by choice or does their personnel dictate that’s their only option? They aren’t Navy but if you haven’t played it it can be hard to defend.
