  1. Amaya Lasley (South Warren) puts up 14.3 ppg for a 16-4 team playing a strong schedule.
  2. Whoever wins between Holy Cross & Danville will meet Murray in the championship.
  3. Nope, Central stayed out of foul trouble. Patterson ran the point which allowed Hill to dominate down low... South Warren's freshman Amaya Lasley is about as close to a "star" player as there is in the 4th region! IMO she's the 4th best player in the region behind only Rich, Glover & Hill. SW just doesn't have the size that Warren Central has; actually no one in the 4th region does.
  4. I wouldn't consider that an upset... Warren Central has a ton of size... South Warren doesn't have much size... Not a good match up for South Warren. I do think South Warren wins the 2nd match up a week from now tho.
  5. No one can come close to beating them in the region... They were in my opinion the 2nd best team in the state before Owens got hurt...
  6. Bowling Green currently has two in Jr. O'Neisha Turner and Sr. Keely Vincent.
  7. ETown Henderson Co Holy Cross - Covington Butler Male
  8. I was at the game... Thought Owens was a significant difference, BE had no one strong enough to handle her inside.. Btw... The more I watch Duvall, the more I fall in love with her game. The kid can flat out play!
  9. I've seen Blackman play 3 times. They are unbelievably good. Top 3 nationally. ETown will be okay in the state of KY.
  10. I agree with Clyde. I saw both of these teams in pre-season events and it could have gone either way to me.
  11. Scott Co is very young this year. The good thing is, their players that scored 18 & 17 are both 8th graders.
  12. Can we please stop using D2 AAU Nationals for a measuring stick...... It's called D2 for a reason.
  13. Yes. We were in attendance at the game. We aren't making any changes to where KY schools are until regular season games have been played. Butler is ahead of ETown for pre-season out of respect that they're the defending champions.
  14. Elizabethtown beat Butler 58-51 Saturday @ ETown. Cleaver for ETown didn't play. Think she makes AT LEAST a 5 point difference. Butler is going to be pretty good again this year but, I still don't see ANYONE in KY beating ETown if everyone stays healthy. South Warren looked REALLY good against Notre Dame, Coach Embry is a very good coach & he has one of the more talented young teams in the state. Paducah Tilghman beat Meade Co by about 15.. Was actually worse than that until PT had a terrible 4th quarter. PT's only competition in the 1st region will be Murray but, I think PT's experience helps them a lot.
  15. Well, you must be a VERY important person in the world of HS girls basketball!
  16. Ha. That's putting it very nicely.
  17. I talked to the dad & according to him she's being recruited by D1 schools. & I may not know a lot but she sure looked like a D1 talent to me...
  18. No..... I was sitting there watching the game it was the other way around. Fothergill hit two big 3s in a row in the 2nd half to put them up by 10.
  19. Burbridge is a Division 1 caliber prospect. But, she's literally all they have according to what I saw this weekend.
  20. Madison Central beat Jeffersontown in both halves... Gonna be a tough year for JTown. Montgomery Co beat Berea in both halves I believe. Shelby Co beat Beechwood in both halves. The Raizors & Justus Martin give SC some good size inside. Anderson Co and Scott Co went back and forth and are both going to be very young this year. Scott Co has a very bright future. Whitley Co over St. Henry..... Pretty sure Southwestern over Simon Kenton in both halves, could see SW coming out of the 12th this year. Ally Niece from SK is so fun to watch. Elizabethtown may not lose to another KY school this year to be completely honest. Dixie Heights over Ballard.
  21. Outlaw & Owens combined for 36 of Henderson's 54.. Henderson is going to be very tough to beat this year.
