Was there really any doubt NDA would win? They are on another level. I know it's hard for people to accept but it's true. I'm not an NDA fan at all but there are some things people have to realize. I know once and a while a team will beat them around here but it doesn't happen often.

Who wins? I've only seen St Henry this year.

The NKSA Gunners ended up winning the second division U10 in CUSL this past weekend. They should be moving up to the first division next season. The boys had a good season. Props to our defense because they only gave up 7 goals in the league. I think that was one of the things the coaches were stressing this year was to be the best defensive team in the league and they accomplished that. The closet team to that gave up 14 goals.

I think that is the million dollar question. IHM is one of St Henry's biggest feeder schools and always has talented basketball players but they for some reason lose most of those players to Cov Cath. Same goes for the girls to ND except for this year on the girls side. Is it the coaching or a status thing?

Agree on the parking. I was there for Districts and it was horrible. The band was practicing until 9:00. Had to park across Dixie Highway because of that mess. You think they would practice after school during these big tournament nights.

How much of a part do you think the defense of the team determines how we think about goalies? Say you swap some of these goalies from the better teams and put them on the no so good teams. Does the opinion and numbers change?

The Cru had a nice year but just couldn't score enough. I was home with a sick kid so i missed the game. Congrats to NCC.

They did play highlands the first game of the year i think. They are a top 15 defense in the state and beat one the favorites in the region Ryle 2-0. They tied NCC the first game they played down at NCC. They play on a big filed this time around so it will be interesting to see if NCC can keep up with them running a regulation sized field. It will be a good match up either way. Good luck to both.

Who wins and why?

What's everyone's thoughts on playing T&C indoor vs NBN Futsal. My sons U10 club team is going to switch to the futsal league this winter instead of T & C indoor. I personally love the idea. I think indoor makes kids lazy and teaches them bad habits on trying to win a ball and getting around players by using the walls. Thanks

When you guys or gals compare keepers do you just look at goals allowed, team wins, or saves when you don't get to watch them all year? How many times do keepers get this great keeper tag just because of goals allowed? If you put a "great" keeper on a team with a lesser defense do you still rate them great? No disrespect to Ludlow but if your put NDA's keeper on that team is she still the best and same goes for Ludlows keeper on NDA's team. Just asking. Thanks

I've only been involved with NKSA and i've been happy so far. The question i have is with all of the club organizations how do the big ones evaluate and form teams year after year? My crazy idea of select/club is you have a tryout and rate the players from best to worst and form your teams every season with out the coaches being involved in the process At least not involved with their own age group so politics stay out of it. I noticed with NKSA some of the age groups had too much input from the current coaches on the teams being formed. I know you would like to keep a group together so they gel but if you keep the same players you won't improve as much as adding better skilled players that come along. Maybe my line of thought is way off. Could someone with more experience let me know how it works. Thanks

My son plays for the NKSA Gunners. They have solid little team. Great coaches and great Trainer Pat from Thomas More. The boys are having a good season so far. We will get to see where we are at the end of this month in our last tournament for the season. We match up against the Javanon Soccer club out of Louisville. I heard they are good so it will be a good test for our boys to see how far they have progressed. Good luck to the Gunners.

I wouldn't count out St Henry. They played NDA pretty well the first game at the beginning of the year. Even though they lost 3-0 it was a pretty good game. St Henry has started to gel here lately and are playing better. NDA probably wins the region but there are a few teams that can show up and beat NDA.

My issues with the calling of the games is how inconsistent they are in the same game when calling fouls. One team won't play the ball and lay a girl out with no call and then on a 50/50 ball the girls will hit each other and they will call a foul. I'm not a soccer expert and maybe that is the difference in the rules but they will call the same situation diffrent in the same game over and over.:idunno:
