FLYGUY

Isn’t this coach tied in heavily to the areas only youth League team? How will this effect Collins down the road ?

Tell them there is a team, with plenty of room to lift and run right up the street!!! LOL

I don't recall the name wasn't anyone I had ever heard of.

They wanted a middle school coach from Shelby is what I had heard. Can’t recall the name of the guy.

You want to get faster you better lift! But yes olympic movements and speed training are a must.

Yes and it will get you into situations like this.

Hard to tell what the full story is. I tend to side with coaches. Teachers, coaches, Public servants rarely get the right to the full story being told.

A coach who cussed and yelled for 15-30 seconds!!! OMG whatever will we do!

Franklin County does as good as anyone that does not have in school weights. Follow them on twitter, its pretty awesome.

I can tell you one thing, kids are not coming out on top right now, no coach, a fumbling hire, and no end in sight!

Fields name seems to get brought up as a leading candidate for several jobs the last 2-3 years.

I hope Ethan Atchley comes out on the good end of this stuff. Whatever it is.

Again your trying so hard to make me out a certain way. I agree with you.... IMO adults and the rules set forth, 95% of the time have the students best interests at heart. It is not in any kids best interests to jump around at will. They are kids.... They don't really know what is important or realistic a lot of the time. As far as letting them transfer, they can currently with several reasons that are acceptable for a move.... Change of address, hardship, coaching issues can even be used as a reason to move. Again for those in the back, I want them to be able to transfer, I just don't think you need to change the current rule in KY.

Oh man you got me I guess you can define product how you see fit... Anyways, I do not think we want a free for all like you have in some other states.. To me that is not a good product, and ends in more negatives then positives. To me and most the people I discuss sports with it is not in the spirit of highschool sports.

I said see if it’s a good product, kids play football at one school leave for baseball, then on fall head off for another for football again. Revolving door. Do a little research, lots of athletes in Florida, but overall it if messes.

Parity will be gone, discipline will be gone, and handlers and bag men will become common place. Go to Florida look at their football, and see if it’s a good product. I see the lure to this and see the reasons some think it is good…. But this is not what highschool sports should be.

Not a bad BIO. I always feel like Mercer County people at least in large part have really always wanted one of the Harrodsburg greats to get the job. Its always the talk among locals when the jobs come open.

Has yeast coached Highschool? What was he noted for in College coaching? What will he hang his hat on?

Woodford will be very good, they always have a lot of talent.. I think losing the qb...will impact them the most.. he made alot of things go for them.

Interesting. What will Yeast bring to the table? Can he get it done at Mercer, better than the last guy?

Bro, coaches can 15-0 and have 40 emails by saturday morning.... If he can even make it to the bus that is...

YES! very tough, also some officials incite some behavior, I have two in particular I have seen over the years that are very bad about this.. They continue to find plenty of work.

In our town they just hired a coach at a middle school that hit an official after a game he won!!!! School in our area also allows felons to coach often. AAU teams in our area have people coaching who cant even drive, or have custody of their own children. Club sports on the rise..... tournaments pop up over night ran or hosted by lord only knows who, trainers and handlers out here at every turn..... Place give exceptions to every rule these days... to me that has changed the culture in sports. Schools, administrators, and coaches normally have to answer for actions.. but the culture that is breeding from bottom up in club sports is crazy. Official abuse is just part of the bi-product.

Frankfort apparently has roomiest gym in the state..

FC has better players, our coaches must be second tier! lol
