FLYGUY

No, they have show they are the ones you have to beat. Best coach, best players. Best record. Hope we get to test it all!

Boyle should be the favorite in 4a, rest of us playing for second.

Menefee, and Mcnear, Mcnear is no longer the middle school football coach......?

Ok then!

What is his resume ?

Menefee was once in the FC staff, he coached the OL. I do not think he finished the year there. But he has had a pretty good freshman team at Scott county.

Yes I would for sure compare, Highlands situation to Frankfort’s.

I could see it being alluring to some. For those reasons.

Won’t be any egg on my face!! I think it’s great either way! I personally don’t think it’s a good job is what I mean by Ins and outs…. As well under that would be facilities, decreasing numbers, sharing kids with multiple sports and while In season. The fact that they ran off last coach who was winningest coach in school history. I think local folks know a lot more about those things and what your up against to have long term success.

Petition if true! Is hilarious! But always rumors around town! FC staff has several that could do well if interested. But I’d say they would not have real interest, due to the ins and outs of the job.

Brenton Mcnear the middle school coach is making a big push for the job. Circulating a petition I hear!

If you run the weight room you should at least be in the loop and told upfront if your not in the mix. It is an insult not to be treated in that manner.

Kid never played good football that I seen. But if you clock a good time you get an offer.

This job always gets alot of publicity when its open.. This will be one too watch for entertainment!

How is Foley connected in Lincoln? Interesting hire if he gets it. We will learn a lot about Foley playing out of 1a with a schedule like Lincoln will have.

So... you are a business you want to invest, Keep in mind there are 3 schools here. where you going with your money?... Franklin County- 4a, state runner up, two time region champ, 70 kids, along with a state champ middle school team. Western Hills- 30 kids annually consecutive and traditional losing seasons, small fan base, 2 win middle school program. Frankfort, 25 kids, small school, above 500 seasons lately, has about 20 kids on middle school program.

They are.... But what kind of facilities is a district gonna pay for, that only 20-25 kids are gonna use and maybe 10 in the off season cause they all play everything.... the soccer team has twice as many kids. Just the reality right now.

FHS, doesnt have a big district, most of their roster were kids from other districts the last several years.. I can think of 6-7 off hand that had played at FCHS this past season being starters.

So this was Highlands 5th pick?

Facilities- D- Roster- D- Schedule A+

They hopefully can muster up a few other good players, besides Moorman. Surely!

Deuce did we agree on something? Smh !!

Agreed, like I said this job is far from an lucrative one!

How are you gonna better financially than he has now? , he was the asst. principal, Ad, and head coach?

The word complacency comes to mind…there is just not any excitement downtown next the football world and hasn’t been for some time now.. this has been the rumor since the end of of season around town. I will say hanging in for almost 20 years is impressive, Frankfort High has a long list of challenges for a football coach to overcome! I will miss his newspaper quotes, and those games between FHS and County in the 2000’s and 2010’s were something to see!
