  1. They probably are tired, their offense hasn't got a first down yet. None. The D has been on the field the whole game
  2. Bad snap to Sizemore, fumbles and MF recovers. 14 seconds left
  3. Sweep play to Mathews for the td. Arnett keeps for the 2 pt conv. 28-14 MF just before half
  4. 30 or so seconds left in 1st half, MF threatening inside the 5
  5. Corbin has a really good punter, no sarcasm meant
  6. 20-14 MF, 53 yds screen pass to Jack Murrell. XP no good
  7. Total yds in 1st qtr.......MF 167, Corbin 6
  8. 14-14 1:00 left in 1st. Cards with nice drive capped off with a Tyler 6 yds td run
  9. 14-7 Corbin. Scores come from blocked punt and int. return
  10. As stated earlier, WesternFootball is not a Mayfield fan fishing for compliments, and I have read ZERO Mayfield supporters that realistically think our boys could hang with these teams for 4 quarters. On a side note, I would pay good money to see a Belfry, Bowling Green, Male, and T playoff!!
  11. I will go a little different route with it, I give the defense an A+. It was solid all season, even in the games that I thought we might struggle. I will give the offense a B. Before anybody else says it, I do realize it hurt losing Bright for a while. With that said, I thought there were several games during the season that they struggled to move the ball. It just seemed to me there were a LOT of 3 and outs. They still always did enough to win though. So, overall I would give the season a very solid A.
  12. I've heard the name Kurt Barber mentioned. Not sure if he is even qualified, but its just what I've heard.
  13. Give me the best of the UA game against Kentucky Wesleyan (no offense, just an example) all day everyday.
  14. I remember this team VERY well. I was actually in that video. One thing I will disagree with that the guy said is that we had not seen anyone like Middlesboro. What we had not seen was a defensive scheme like they threw at us. It was insane! Back then, Mayfield rarely passed the ball. We were a wishbone off tackle kinda team. They put 8 guys on the line of scrimmage, and blitzed the MLB every snap! We simply could not block all of em! What really made it tough was the 2-3 little guys that would time the snap and shoot a gap. Those suckers were in the backfield immediately. I will never forget the coaches yelling "You gotta block down!!!!!". Saying all that, I will give them all the credit they deserve. Very good team, and what I remember as good sportsmen! Also, the kicker was UNBELIEVABLE!!!
  15. I have also just scanned this thread, but this last question is a good one to me. If I remember right, he didn't get playing time his first couple years because he couldn't grasp the offense. I might have gotten bad info at the time, but if this is the case, I could see coaches not wanting to take a chance for 1 season.
  16. I love the baseball score for the Belfry/SW game!
  17. Great stuff, I'm impressed with your creativity! I think Big Grannies is the funniest name for a day care, but it does exist!
  18. The only one I can speak for is the Mayfield /Graves situation. It is not viewed as a choose what school you want to attend kinda thing. There are kids who transfer between schools for sports though. But I guess to answer your question, the entire school systems are separate K-12. Maybe that's what you were looking for.
