Wrong. Scott is in a decent spot. They Lost to Butler who lost to Ryle. All they have is Franxman and Tapp, who are good hitters, but won't be able to carry the load against good teams as we saw in BGSG. Cooper still has more talent without a decent setter because they have people to terminate. No, they won't beat the teams listed above them, partly because their coaches don't know their boobs from their butt, but the team won't be that bad, especially since they just added Nicole Bruce, a senior transfer from Conner, who was their best player, and Morgan Kelly, a freshman. PLD still has Leah Edmond, who can pretty much hit over any block you give her. Beechwood still has their core group back, which includes setter Gabby Ogle and libero Maggie Stuempel. The fact of the matter is, most schools are going through a rebuilding year. Teams are testing different lineups, giving new players chances on the court and trying to find a team that meshes. Give it a couple weeks and I bet this pre-season ranking may be a fairly decent representation of the state.

Yeah and it only took 10 minutes after the alarms had been going off to tell everyone to evacuate. When the fire dept showed up, most of the people were still coming out of the building. KBA and the tournament director probably should get in trouble for not evacuating the building.

So who will make it to the finals? My guess is Ryle v. Henry Clay

St. Henry has been on the decline for many years now. I don't know why you would put them ahead of Ryle and NDA even with Bessler and Tobertge going there.

Lex United 13U and 14U teams were weak this year. I don't know what teams rscott43 was speaking of, but 13s and 14s are not them. Lex United 16 Adidas is a good team, but those girls are already making their impact on high school.

There aren't any good incoming freshmen in Lexington this year.

I guess that depends on the new HC. Usually they bring in their own coaching staff but we'll see.

You may see a few freshmen starting varsity for SHDHS next year. Little Bessler and her cousin.

Hentz will be entering her senior year. She is deciding between Stanford and Penn State. Ashley Bush (Ryle) is going to Northwestern.

I think NCC had a good chance at getting kids to go there in the past because they were in the 10th and went to state every single year. Every player wants to go to state and with NCC being in the 9th, I think NDA is a more appealing option.

Mercy does not win state in 2015. They just don't. My guess goes to...hold on to your seat.... Sacred Heart. They had a talented group last year and didn't get a lot of credit. I mean, they were the only team to knock off Mercy. But they lose very little from last year's squad, so I'm going with the Valkyries. Also, Garvey going to Purdue is a good move. Obviously he wants his own program at some point, might as well start coaching with a top tier big ten program.

Angie is a much better coach than NCC coaches in years past. The other coaches........ meh.

Don't doubt Tobergte. She is a great player and is very aggressive and is wiling to take chances but she is so smart about it too. All around great player. Would easily be St. Henry's go-to.

K Smith rumor is not true. She is not moving. She could be in the future, but not now. Also, incoming 6'1" MB from Camp Ernst could make things interesting.

I have heard a rumor that Bell Morgan (Beechwood 8th grader) may be going to NDA. Anyone know of this rumor and it's validity?

I was only including 9th region teams and if I were to include Scott, they would be #2 on my list as well.
