  1. I drove in to work this morning next to an SUV fully decked out with Bengals décor and flags. I wanted to follow them to wherever they were headed for a full day of tailgating, it’s gonna be a perfect day in Cincinnati. Go Bengals – but also... Go Lamar Jackson!
  2. Last nights marathon game actually worked in my favor - went out to dinner and came home and essentially didn’t miss all that much. Lol. Malik was fun - can’t help but think of Lamar watching him play. Granted a less athletic, less dynamic version, but still lots of energy/excitement. Hope he plays again soon. Go (exhausted) Cards!
  3. I saw that one of the injured was from Louisville. She’s a 5/3 employee who frequently travels to Cinti for work. Shot 12 times but still managed to call her husband from the ambulance. Dang girl! God bless her and her family.
  4. I work a few blocks away - our Company was advising us not to go outside. Rumors already circulating about a group of employees were let go just yesterday. Thinking of my 5/3 friends!!
  5. Zero sympathy for Saban and his over sensitive tude about his qb situation. He’s a seasoned coach and should be prepared for interviews with poise, especially after a blow out lol.
  6. Game went as I expected. Best part was Lamar Jackson there supporting the guys and Pass, aww! Plenty of work to do in plenty of season left against guys not wearing Alabama jerseys lol. Go Cards!
  7. The split screen of the cussing Bama coaches... lol
  8. Yeah I’m liking Puma! If I were Tua I’d be salty they took me out during that one stretch lol - wow that kid can play!!
  9. Just started baking a homemade blueberry cheesecake for a cookout tomorrow, trying not to eat the entire graham cracker crust I just mixed up. Simultaneously flipping between several football game...., happy September y'all.
  10. Woo hoo - I’m so ready!!
  11. Update from the Sister’s Facebook page, Aug. 30: We are sorry to report that neither the rings nor the money have been returned. We continue to hold out hope. We have received another anonymous offer raising the amount to $10,000 for the return of the rings. One outcome is that the community now realizes the need for a security system and we are in the process of obtaining one. We have received some donations to help in the purchase and installment of the system. Again we are most grateful for the kindness and outpouring of support from so many.
  12. Nice Hilltoppers!! It's a blast going to games if you have good seats, but man it's just so nice watching at home...
  13. Survivor will hold an open casting in Bowling Green KY on Sept. 25. at the Bowling Green Athletic Club, 121 Flex Park Drive. 4pm-8pm. Each season they select a couple of contestants in the 40 and up age group, LOL. I think it would be hard but a blast. Although on the other hand it would be tough to be the person everyone is secretly laughing at, and have no idea til the end. Anyone ever think about trying out for Survivor??
  14. The Tide will definitely Roll this weekend, LOL. With that said I’m super excited football is staring!! Louisville will remain a mystery for sure until we have a few games under the belt. I have mediocre expectations for the season, especially with the Lamar hangover - -but as always, go Cards!! If Jalen plays most the game: 28-3 Bama If Tua plays most of the game: 52-14 Bama
  15. I saw that Mollie’s brother Scott, a High School senior QB, scored 3 touchdowns in his team’s opener on Friday night. He decided to play just Thursday.... it must have been an amazing, emotional night for the family and entire community. 16. Lots of people are still psyched about Tua’s performance in the National Championship game. I think it’s likely they’ll both play, but who opens and why? Herbstreit: Tagovailoa ideal choice, Alabama QB battle far from over
  17. I agree with the vacation fund! Although periodically I would use it for entertainment (concerts, sporting events, theatre), purses, & jewelry.
  18. Oh wow, sooo sad!! I don't know why so many of us were interested in the case, could indeed be the "girl next door" that we all seem to know..... God bless her family and friends....
  19. Yeah, I would never steal from the religious – it couldn’t possibly end well. Off topic, this story especially caught my attention because the Benedictine motto periodically comes to my mind off and on during my life.... thanks to my grade school parish priest who used to work it into his homilies on the regular, lol. Ora et Labora It just sounds so simple, magical and special.... Prayer & Work
  20. Okay, this makes me furious. It’s one thing to rob everyday people (lol), but leave nuns alone!! 125 gold rings, $1,8
  21. Dying...:lol2: We have a saying in my family that if you eat at Chipotle today, you cannot possibly have a bad day. E coli chicken/steak bowls are the best!
