  1. Positive note... Erickson is still pretty solid looking returning kicks and appears to be a solid back up wr... I like the kid.
  2. Did the ball Green dropped hit both hands? I think it did... Btw, what's your explanation for the intentional grounding deep in our own territory that he threw 20 yards away from everyone?
  3. Again, you're correct... it was a poorly thrown ball too far in front of the receiver...
  4. I already said I mis-typed ... AJ's was high and too far in front... bad throw anyway you slice it. It happens in the NFL.
  5. Agreed... I did mis-type though... McCarron's int was high and too far in front... not behind...
  6. It was high and behind him.. similar to the one Andy hit Green in the hands with on the first drive Actually, was too far in front of wr
  7. McCarron showing why he's the back up... unexplainable intentional grounding and a poor interception deep in our own territory...
  8. Belew is a genius musician... I think the biggest star he ever played with was David Bowie... he had a long creative relationship with him. I did one recording session with him. He was in and out in 30 minutes and we all spent the next 2 hours talking about how amazing he was... lol! He mentioned he was from Ludlow, Ky and started out as a drummer... two things I never knew and never would've guessed.
  9. Not only does Dalton obviously have more experience... but just watch the guys in practice... even just QB drills... Dalton has a stronger and more accurate arm... and believe it or not, Dalton is more athletic. He runs better in straight line or in quick cut moves... it's not a night and day thing... but Dalton is a bit better. Add that to the experience and his comfort level with AJ Green and other guys... give me Dalton.
  10. You're making way too much sense here... just stop it, lol! I'm not suppose to ever agree with a Steelers fan.
  11. My favorite post you've ever made... couldn't agree more.
  12. Agreed... imo, Burfict has the best instincts and motor that the Bengals have ever had at LB. The only player that I'd argue could've surpassed Burfict is a guy that makes Tez look like a perfect citizen... that's Odell Thurman. Odell had incredible instincts, speed, strength, quickness, etc... he also happened to be a true thug, a criminal... Something that, as much as many want to try to portray Burfict as being... he's not even close. Odell = thug Burfict = intense, at times immature, and loses self awareness/control
  13. One of the studio engineers for that album is my good friend Erwin Musper. He has worked with so many great artists, it's unreal.... Def Leppard, Van Halen, Metallica, Chicago, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, the Scorpions, etc etc... He now lives on a beach in South America... and he's originally from Holland.. Fun fact: up until about 2 years ago.. Erwin had a multi-million dollars home studio in his basement in Highland Heights, KY, very near NKU. Artists such as the Scorpions and Van Halen would frequently fly into CVG, stay at Erwin's and record. He use to tell me stories how he and Eddie Van Halen would hit a local Walmart for batteries or whatever and people would say "you look just like Eddie Van Halen"... and Eddie would say, "yeah, I get that a lot"... lol! Some of my favorite recording sessions of all time were with that guy behind the controls... Erwin is a master studio engineer and he spoke often and very highly of Mutt Lange... he obviously learned a ton working with him on the Def Leppard stuff.
  14. Anyone who loves guitar and hasn't checked out Steve Morse... do yourself a favor and do it immediately... lol!
  15. Winger is one of the most underrated bands of all time imo... The band was more or less an All-Star lineup of highly sought after studio musicians... similar to the guys in Toto... As a professional studio / touring drummer for nearly 30 years myself... I can tell you that Rod Morgenstein is a "monster" of a player. He got his start with the Dixie Dregs.. an unbelievably talented band featuring Steve Morse on guitar... If you wanna know how talented Kip Winger is... ask Alice Cooper. Reb Beach has too many studio credits to mention... off the top of my head... The Bee Gees, Roger Daltry, Chaka Khan, Howard Jones... etc. I've done studio sessions locally, in New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, etc... I can tell you that guys in Winger have come up in many conversations I've had with engineers, producers, etc over the years... and not in a condescending way... those guys are highly respected in the Industry by real musicians, songwriters, producers, etc. Winger was an attempt by some young and talented studio musicians to "cash in" on a trend... and for the most part they did that. They make music together now when they want to, not because they have to or because they're trying to prove anything... I for one respect them highly, especially Rod who I've spent time with over the years... great guy and a great musician. Period.
  16. Agreed... not a lot of great linebackers in Bengals history.. it was hard to pick 6... lol!
  17. I was thinking the same thing after being there myself... but it's early training camp, so I won't put a lot of stock in the good or bad just yet.
  18. With Kevin Gray taking over at Beechwood... who might get the Ludlow job?
  19. Not surprised... I knew he applied and I think he's a good choice for them.
  20. That's hilarious... barring anything like a rediculous number of injuries, this Bengal team wins at least 8 games this season. And 8 wins would be a colossal failure imo, because I see 10 or 11 wins in all likelihood.
  21. Hard to believe that he's the only Bengal to make the Hall of Fame in 50 years, but he sure is an awesome representative for the team... Top notch on and off the field.
  22. I agree that they stand a good chance of making the playoffs for sure... as always, key guys gotta stay healthy.
  23. Good post. It's mostly what I've been saying this whole time... Palmer's career is done as a Bengal and Dalton likely has several seasons left. Also, in most statistical categories of note for a QB, Dalton leads the franchise or "will likely" lead the franchise when his time here is over. I'm not holding my breath, but hoping this season "50th anniversary" is when Dalton and the gang finally make a playoff run. Hoping, lol!
