I don't think Ludlow had 10 personal fouls. There were a lot of flags thrown for various reasons for both teams. At times it was ridiculous because i expect better from both teams. Bellevue had quite a few personal fouls as well. And there may have been 10 personal fouls between both teams. Then add in false starts, holding, block in the back, etc.

The stadium was packed. It was great to see so much support for the Panthers!

It is homecoming at Ludlow and there will be large crowds. If this is a close game, the Panthers might pull one out. BTW, if you haven't been to a game at Ludlow; homecoming is the one to go to. I've been to many other homecomings and Ludlow's is one of the best :-)

I saw him pitch today for Team PBR at WKU. Had a no hitter through 5 1/3 innings. The relief pitcher did combine for a no hitter against a very good Ironmen Ball Club. He's really good and should be fun to watch these next couple years.

I have yet to hear anything regarding Ludlow. They just hired a soccer coach for the girls team a few days before practice started. I assume this is next on their list.....

I was there! It was a mess. We were told we were playing the 03 Bandits, then told we were playing the Krushers, then we ended up playing the Orange Bandit team. It was definitely a mess. TBH, I'm glad we didn't play the Krushers! My daughter had to pitch due to the starting pitcher being on vacation and last time (with our starting pitcher) the score wasn't pretty. My daughter is still learning to pitch and I don't want her confidence taking a huge beating right now. You guys have a good team!

My 16 yr old son had his orbital socket completely shattered pitching last travel season. Probably one of the worst things I have witnessed. He's had one major reconstructive surgery and needs at least 1 more surgery. Thankfully, he didn't suffer a major head injury. It was announced this weekend. Her daughter will be playing at St Catherine and she said she wanted to spend time warching her daughter play in college.

It's a lot of fun. My daughter is one of the 10,000 Bandits. I can't keep them all straight! I LOVE seeing so many girls playing fastpitch. Love it!

My daughter plays 12U and it is required for her team to wear a face mask in the infield. It is optional for outfield, but most outfielders choose to wear their mask as well. In every tournament and game at the 12U level, I have yet to see any infielder without a face mask. It has been this way since she started playing a couple of years ago. She just played her first season of high school ball and I was taken aback by the number of girls who do not wear masks. A pitcher would wear a mask every now and then, but for the most part I did not see any JV or varsity player wear a mask. I know that my daughter was the anomaly when she wore her mask while pitching this high school season. My son was severely injured while pitching last summer (took a line drive to his face/eye). He has had one major reconstructive surgery and has at least one more minor surgery in the near future to repair all the damage. My daughter was at the game when he was hurt--some images will stick with you for a long time. She used to grumble about wearing her mask while pitching, but now is glad that she has it. I hope more girls choose to start wearing their masks at the high school level.

I believe they are the Blue team. There are three Bandit teams as the 12U level and they all play on Wed @ Rivercity. It is very cool to see so many girls getting involved in softball!

We are there on Wednesdays too (not tonight though; school function). My daughter plays with the Bandits :-)

I'm not sure when St Henry and Ludlow play again. I know that they were scheduled to play a second time right after the All-A at Florence Freedom; but there was a scheduling mistake/confusion and St. Henry did not show up (they thought the game was the next night). Both the umpires and Ludlow were at Florence Freedom ready for the game. I have no idea how it will be/is being handled.

My daughter plays travel with Sam and her younger sister. Sam plays ss and is definitely one of the better 12U short stops I have seen.

The fast pitch leagues really make a difference. My daughter is in middle school at Ludlow--she plays both JV and varsity. The JV team consists of 7-10th graders--most of them having never played fast pitch softball. There really is nothing in Northern Kenton County for these girls. We were lucky to find NKYA and NKB to get her started before moving to travel but both of those leagues involved driving to Independence or Boone County for practices/games. Fast pitch is a great game! I wish more girls in my area had access to it.

I saw them on Friday against Ludlow. I was very impressed with the short stop and second baseman. They could play ball!

Panthers have nothing to be ashamed of. It's going to be a good season

Game went back and forth all night. At one point the Panthers were down 5-1. At another point St. Henry was down 8-6. Panthers win in the bottom of the 7th on a suicide squeeze.

He has definitely gotten his players to buy in. I think they would go to war for him.

Ludlow 7th grade girls beat Sharp 32-18 today for the small school championship. They finished their season 19-0. A very nice season for this group of girls.
