That's great, but do it against a team with 6 or 7 D-1s like Cincy X or Moeller or Carmel...Does strength of schedule count for nothing? I mean, we gave up 55.2 rushing yards PER GAME against those guys and the rest of 6-A KY!!!! The front 4 had 29 sacks and 21.5 TFL playing about a half a game...We're not talking about playing against Marshall County and Madisonville-North Hopkins here... There needs to be a real system in place that is backed with performance-based statistics, film and expertise to determine something of this level of prestige and renown...Otherwise it should cease to exist

I seriously hate the way these teams are compiled...Coaches are lazy and just don't care about voting for the actual best guy at the position any more...With all the film that's available, there is no excuse. Thompson/Frost/Carney all should have garnered first team looks...This is maybe the best DL in Trinity history and the third best kid made it because he has a UK offer...Perhaps coaches in this state should not be allowed to vote for linemen on either side of the ball unless they have coached the position? And don't get me started on Evans/Howze/EBC in the secondary...

I'm taking Zane over Burke on this list mostly due to SOS but also because of how ridiculous Cantwell's comments were about his season...Otherwise I buy most of what is on here Now the defensive list on the other hand...SMH

The team will likely stay overnight in St. Louis for this trip. FWIW, the exponential advances in HUDL and technology around game film and planning make the bus rides much easier to deal with and they will not lose as much prep time for the following week. This was always our issue when travelling a good distance to play down South, as TH58 alluded to.

Redmon won one title at Male after Bob got to Trinity despite having multiple NFL players come through there compared to the 1 pro at Trinity (Brian). You cannot tell me that coaching at the HS level isn't the most important piece of the puzzle.

The only awards we care about at Trinity come from Balfour...

Glaser/Wolfe/Redmon had some absolutely dominant, loaded teams in their day that neither went undefeated nor won a championship...

I have Shields at the top of a list that includes Cole Spencer (WKU/TTU), Sam Robey (Florida), Alex Kupper (UofL/NFL), Dylan Thiry (Northwestern), Joey Warburg (Purdue), Dane Spoelker, Wes Duke, John Michael Heile (Brown), Michael Heistand (UChicago), Tyler English (WKU) and Alex Moore. That's just the last 25 years.

So ridiculous...if you can play, you can play! He's not a little guy and can play all three positions...Hope he goes somewhere he can get a chance to showcase the talent

Now that the season is over, I just want to make it clear that Nate Shields is the best Offensive Lineman I have ever witnessed at Trinity High School. He is a master technician, tremendous footwork, brilliant mind, outstanding teammate and the heart of a three-time champion. Every time he was out there, his impact was on display. Each week, he went against 3/4/5 star ends and linebackers in games and in practice and I’m not sure he ever gave up a sack or made an egregious holding penalty. I know the All-State teams can be skewed or biased, but in my humble opinion through 30-plus years of watching he is the best. Would love to hear thoughts from others who know OL and have seen him play.☘️ Side note: I am working to publish an All-Trinity Team from the last 25 years in the next few days. More to come soon.

Replacing Shields/entire OL, WR Watson, DL Thompson and Frost, DB Bratcher, LBs Botner, Hughes, Calloway, Lowe That being said, I want to see how good Brownsburg really is...they get talked about like the old BD teams from the 80's and 90's

No reason to play IMG, BG, St. Frances, etc. unless ESPN/Paradigm gets involved. Costs for these games are insane and there's so many good teams in driving distance we could entertain (IN Brownsburg, IN Westfield, TN Baylor, OH St. Edward/St. Ignatius) Usually Paradigm makes that call to the schools to gauge interest but I don't believe there has been anything other than preliminaries with our staff.

Can confirm: - Carmel HS off the schedule due to them joining a conference in IN. Still a great relationship with Kevin Wright/Greyhounds AD - Moeller off the schedule for now. - F. Douglass off schedule due to opportunity for them to play a bowl game and no other dates available. - Added Christian Brothers College HS in West St. Louis on the road. Also looking to add a possible nationally televised home game but nothing concrete at this time.

Have heard Trinity is playing a national road opponent for the first time in a long, long time. Don't know if it is confirmed so I will not say until I know, but I'm trying to remember the last time (if ever) this happened. Going to be tough after losing Shields, Beckham, Bratcher, Watson, Thompson, Frost, et al but we return a bunch of weapons too!

Coach Cobb and his staff exemplify the Pride in each other, Loyalty to the team and the school’s mantra, the Discipline it takes each year to win it all, and how trophies are not the true Achievement you get by winning the last game of the year. When the kids realize it fully, you get what happened last night. There is no stopping this team from the title and as an alumni I am incredibly proud of what they have molded. Go Rocks! ☘️

Definitely the best team we played this year…But if I’m honest, I’d love to play them again at the end of the year! Good luck to Coach Specht, certainly one of the best in our area
