Landan Swartz of Bath County averages over 200 YPG rushing in back to back seasons, sets the school career rushing record (and pretty sure scoring record as well), wins both district and EKC player of the year, and doesn't even make honorable mention?! Congratulations to the players on the list but this one deserved to be on there as well.

1st Fleming loss was on the road, BC shot 35% from the field, 31% (yes 31%) from the line, and still had opportunities to win in overtime. BC had a 13 point lead starting the 4th quarter on Friday night and could not buy a bucket in the 4th quarter. Missed several opportunities from point blank range and turnovers on the others. Credit Fleming for hitting shots when it counted in both games. Yes opportunity is there to move up the ladder.

Bath County is 5-2 in the last 7 games. Turnovers hurt at MoCo but it was the difference in the Fleming Co game. Can't turn it over. Good news this week is Bath County's Senior class is 8-0 in Westwood including an 8th grade OVC title in that gym in 2015. They seem to like it there.

Menifee came out firing 3's every trip down the floor and playing very physical. Same thing happened to Rowan at Menifee. Rowan up big in 1st half. Bath Co beat Menifee by 23 at home and was up 25+ most of the 2nd half. As far as Elliott County I think they can only beat themselves in the 16th. Someone will have to play well and EC will have to play no better than average.

Bath County may have turned the corner after Christmas. They played well vs Anderson Co but came up short after a Bearcats run. I have been informed a "lively and spirited" halftime discussion in the Estill Co game on December 28th may be what the team looks back that it came together. The 2nd half of the Estill Co game and the Russell game were the 3 best halves of ball they have played all season outscoring them 143-85 in the 3.

Probably a good hire coming from a large, competitive program but you may be putting a lot of pressure on Neece comparing him to Jones. Jones was a college level athlete and as quick as anyone around with the football in his hands. If he truly is then Estill will be competitive.

It will have a negative impact on attendance. There are people who attend multiple nights.

Can anyone in the 16th play with Elliott County? They are 4-0 vs 16th region opponents scoring 358 total points, an 89.5 PPG average...... The closest game is a 19 point win on the road at defending champ Boyd County.

Landan Swartz (Sr. RB-Bath County) was glaring miss that was not on this list in August after gaining 2,000 yards rushing as a Jr. He racked up another 2,000 yard season this year, set the school record for career rushing yards, and has been named the 3A D5 POY and was announced today he is the Eastern Kentucky Conference Player of the Year in NEKY.

If they want to mix things up keep regions 1 and 2 together and 3 and 4 together and rotate the districts within the semi state. Everyone has said that but no one has listened.
