First cross check on the list would be players who have D1 scholarships. Players with D1 scholarships should be in the top 50. There are probably less than 50 in the state going D1 so that allows room to add others into a top 50.

My personal bias would definitely have Casey McGinness in the top 50. He has at times single-handedly carried the arguably top team in the state to victory. He might not have the big offers, but in my mind is definitely one of the top 50 high school football players in the state. I have not watched all of these players play, so I do not know who I would take off, but if there are 50 better high school football players than him the state of Kentucky is much better at football than I realize.

My apologies there...wasn't aware of that. I am now!

Everyone in this Top 10 list (except for one) is committed to a DI school...not sure about the Top 50. Seems like a lot of the Top 25 are committed to Kentucky, which I find interesting.

Agree 100%.

I noticed that Casey McGinness wasn’t listed amongst the top 50 and wasn’t mentioned in 5 more to watch from NKY either. I have to imagine that the postseason lists will have him properly ranked.

Damarco Fishback of Frederick Douglass is another one who was omitted in the same manner as Casey McGinness and I feel like the postseason lists will be nicer to him as well.

Landan Swartz (Sr. RB-Bath County) was glaring miss that was not on this list in August after gaining 2,000 yards rushing as a Jr. He racked up another 2,000 yard season this year, set the school record for career rushing yards, and has been named the 3A D5 POY and was announced today he is the Eastern Kentucky Conference Player of the Year in NEKY.

Wow! I'll have to look him up. I have not heard anything about him.

Huddleston at Highlands imo one of the best.

Malachi Corley, Junior, Campbellsville High School.... Top 50??? He’s Top 10...
