Tubbs has been having some swelling and soreness from a torn meniscus that she had repaired over the summer. Holmes has 2 seniors that don't start but contribute in the first 8. And Perkins came to Holmes from North Hardin. Assistant on the boy's team before taking over the girls program last year.

In the 6th and 7th grade I was an all star in the Covington Independent School Leagues!! And I always brought home a satisfactory grade for PE class!! My momma was always very proud of me!! ONLY TEASING!!!

Wasn't able to attend last years game but I know this is one I have anticipated all winter! Hope it lives up to the hype and everyone walks away healthy for the home stretch!

Pertaining to the NKY teams only... Do you rank Scott ahead of Simon Kenton?? Do you rank Owensboro Catholic ahead of Highlands?? East Carter ahead of Holy Cross?? 1 loss in a contest between two very good teams a mile apart wouldn't change my opinion of either team regardless of outcome! Holmes and Holy Cross share facilities for Varsity Football/Baseball that's how close the schools are! This was a true rivalry pitting friends vs. friends and family vs. family and records didn't matter! HC has bragging rights for now but I'm betting it only makes the Lady Dawgs hungrier when it matters!!

I think they are where they belong... Overall record over 1 loss they are legit rankings IMO

Holy Cross Won the First half by 13 Holmes Won the second half by 9. Cut the 13 point deficit to 6 by the end of the 3rd and HC sealed the win with 2 freethrows at the end. HC wins by 4 Holmes not dominated

They played a great game against man to man drawing the big up and losing defenders on back cuts for easy buckets. I haven't seen these lady dawgs chase a ball like that since last year!

Like I said the Lady Breds gave great effort! The lady Dawgs not so much ... The officiating was so so... And although Ware is fast she still struggled even turning the ball over on the final possession that could have tied it up . With that being said she was the fastest girl on the court last night.

The turnovers were pretty consistent through out the game for HC w/wo McClendon the problem was Holmes didn't convert those to points and Holmes was not immune to turnovers themselves. Mayhaus changed alot of shots with her 5 blocks in the first half. The Indians did a good job of controlling the ball without McClendon but there was a noticeable lack of flow to the offense with her out.

A couple of interesting stats from this game.... Holmes forced 27 turnovers against HC... Holmes shot 16 of 60 from the field....

Expect similar results as HHS vs. NCC
