  1. My point has been and will be that you did not see this team play once last year! Yes you may have seen a few individuals, know a few individuals and or maybe even coached a few individual players but you did not see them as a team to say that you have or know the formula! I also couldn't make the Holmes vs. Highland game last year and wouldn't begin to tell you how to beat the Bluebirds!
  2. Possible yes. But thats a blanket statement that covers not only every 9th region team but every team in this state and others! Your formula to beat Holmes is a generic formula that could be used to beat most if not all teams!
  3. Your opinions are entertaining but not always accurate!
  4. I think its unreasonable to think any team will go through this region unscathed! Not once did I say they would run the table. I do think it's silly to suggest that in the 6 losses in the region that the other team protected the ball in those 6 loses! We are talking about High school Basketball! I can flat out tell you that some of those loses were at the free throw line and had nothing to do with turnovers here or there!
  5. You do make it seem like these girls are just shooting from the hips and throwing up prayers and thats not the case! You make it seem like that there are high school teams out there that will protect the ball on a consistent basis? I don think that will be the case at all! I think you are referring to a on any given night scenario a team may protect the ball. Well then I'll buy that. I think holmes speed will have something to say about that but thats just my opinion. I will say this though there better be a plan to slow this team down in transition meaning teams better make a whole lot of shots!
  6. They did not struggle from the outside Parker is a threat as well as Harris and Englemon from the outside. And thats just referring to last years squad. They do create a lot of turnovers with their pressure and speed but by no means a one dimensional run and gun squad!
  7. You sure seem to know an awful lot about a team that you have yet to see play?? Thought you missed the game last year??
  8. I forgot to mention freshman Laila Johnson will be a solid contributor to this team especially on defense! Great speed and next level quickness!
  9. My point is I don't agree with any the rankings I am proud of all their accomplishments as a team! That D2 #1 ranking is awesome!! Just think they are a little better than some of those teams listed in the D1 rankings! JMO

  11. Either way can't be real accurate hard to evaluate lady legends team ( my daughter's aau team) against teams from 46 other states without the person or persons who do the rankings putting eyeballs on all aau teams! Why does it have to be about rankings anyways?? It was a great experience and a way to put my daughter on a gym floor to work on her skill set and get better at something she loves to do!
  12. At aau nationals in mason there couldnt have been more than 20 teams D1 -D2 combined and only represented Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and 1 other state! And not 1 player in any national ranking platforms was there unless you count (Cydney Moss) coaching. I am not knocking any of the local teams accomplishments but that's just it these should be cs liked local rankings not national by any means!
  13. I didn't see a ton of other 9th region girls in the gym practicing daily or on the court on weekends! I'm sure a lot of the young ladies did get better... at softball, volleyball, and maybe even basketball?? Again I'm not saying there aren't players that have improved but I do for a fact know a few girls who kept working hard all summer at this particular sport! ( by the way I'm pretty sure my girls hacked that last post)
  14. with all do respect Gulley is going to do damage in the post and perimeter. She's improved since last season. Along with Tubbs, Harris, Stovall, Englemon and Mayes. 9th region better watch out.
  15. This team has a lot of upside and potential. They may as deep as athletic and really it depends on the maturation of alot of their players to see how they handle this much depth and talent on one roster. They truly will have 7 potential starters on one roster. The team is guard heavy and have added some depth in the bigs department that will be a big factor in their success. They return 4 starters ( Stoval, Harris, Englemon, Gulley) and have a returning outside threat in Parker along with the additions of Tubbs and Mayes.
  16. I actually have 2 girls that will play for the Cincinnati Angels next year and they both enjoyed the experience and exposure. The Angels organization most definitely takes care of their players and puts them in a place to be successful at the next level. They have a great track record and have had some big time players come through the organization and I can only hope my girls follow in that tradition.
  17. And some of Sunday's games can be seen on prospectsnation.com at least for the older girls.
  18. My daughter attended this event this past weekend as well. She played with the Cincinnati Angels Elite team and had a great showing as well. Great exposure in front of roughly 20-25 college coaches.
  19. So interest from Big Ten, SEC, ACC and many other conferences and schools isn't in the same league?? Ohio is the 3rd most highly recruited state behind California and Texas. For her to make a name for herself as a freshman and follow it up her sophomore year without the luxury of expensive camps and training is impressive! She will do well no doubt in my mind!!
  20. What's the sampling size of games that you have seen Hedley that you all are basing your opinions on?? I have seen her compete at a high level in many game situations at many levels of competition and she can flat out finish at will anywhere on the floor! There are few young women who have her speed and strength that can match her defensively.
  21. Hannah Tubbs is without a doubt the best athlete/player in the 9th region and will be a top level player in the state day 1!! 19 plus points a game as a freshman, 26 as a sophmore in the state of Ohio. She is and will be the caliber of player that draws Ms.Kentucky consideration.
