Well this game was about the girls who did play!! Obviously both teams have girls injured, sick as do most teams they all play short handed from time to time it's basketball and sport by commenting about it your adding a well if element to it!!! Holmes played with the girls they had and GRC did as well...

Bingo!!! This was spot on GRC ONLY played zone(which is fine) Holmes strategy at the end of the first three quarters because of foul trouble was to limit potential fouls mainly to force GRC to come out and guard and open the floor!! So I'm confused because it looks like a brilliant strategy on the scoreboard.. And if GRC coaches, players and fans didn't like Holmes holding the ball( IT WAS BORING) all the coaches had to do was instruct their girls to step out and defend !!!

What I won't do is jump on here and immediately discredit another teams accomplishment because I didn't like the other coaches strategy( not necessarily against GRC) and point out who didn't play to try and take that other teams efforts and asterisk it up!!

2 teams played hard... refs called lot of fouls... Coach made a decision to take it out of refs hands... Holmes won 55-46

I don't know how these rankings came about this??? Chemistry??? Even returning all five starters doesn't guarantee good chemistry!! This is high school and new additions and or contributors can always add and change those dynamics..... its a good start and all the top teams in the 9th return tons of talent that's why they're at the top of the region preseason! With that said.....

I don't think it predicts H.C. vs. Holmes in the 9th region final?? I think it does say there's a ton of talent in the 9th and it could be an early matchup in the regional tournament for a H.C. vs. Highlands or a Holmes vs. Highlands either way the only thing that would be more exciting for an early regional tournament matchup is if any of the three matched up in the finals! Preferably Lady Dawgs vs. Either of the other two!!!

Holmes was at times a little sloppy but FAST really get up and down the floor and create a lot of turnovers! Minus starting center

In on the court news.... Hannah Tubbs has been cleared for action and the Bulldogs were at full strength last night! A ton of depth on the floor with seven starters(3 from previous schools) on one team!

Thought about enrolling her elsewhere to get varsity time? Newport, Bellevue??

And for the record I am glad my daughter kicked the cheerleading habit and picked up the basketball again!! (Thanks Hannah Tubbs) and I am all for doing what's best for each individual young man or lady!!

And there will always be exceptions!! Funny to think about Lebron sitting on some middle school bench in Akron huh!
