The turnovers were pretty consistent through out the game for HC w/wo McClendon the problem was Holmes didn't convert those to points and Holmes was not immune to turnovers themselves. Mayhaus changed alot of shots with her 5 blocks in the first half. The Indians did a good job of controlling the ball without McClendon but there was a noticeable lack of flow to the offense with her out.

A couple of interesting stats from this game.... Holmes forced 27 turnovers against HC... Holmes shot 16 of 60 from the field....

Expect similar results as HHS vs. NCC

This is gonna sound bad... but I agree looked a little hung over and missed a ton of layups!

Uncommon shooting night for the Dawgs! But agreed they do not work the ball to the middle of the zone with their bigs enough to cause the defense to collapse and create space for good outside looks which in turn doesn't help create the space for the kind of drives they tried to make in tight space with a lot of quick hands on defense!

After reading this again and thinking about the game..Gulley being on the bench allowed Mayhaus to score on the offensive rebound pretty easily and allowed her to hit a couple big 3's while being guarded by smaller players. That in affect had as much to do with the outcome of the game as Holmes missing chips to tie it up or the sluggish start. She took advantage of her matchup and played a nice game!

I do think this game will go along way for relieving the pressure of being undefeated and allow them to grow the way only playing in meaningful games allows!!

Great crowd! Great atmosphere and GREAT effort on the floor by both teams! Not at all dissapointed by the effort shown on the floor and extremely proud of the effort of 33 for Holmes!!! Can't say the same for the performance from the bench!! Too much time arguing about jump balls and perceived missed calls in the first half and not enough composure or coaching!! That effort was recognized by the players and added to their struggles. I will give credit where its due because they collectively pulled it together inthe second half! Way to go HC and way to go Lady Dawgs!!!

Besides the talk would be a little one sided since the HC faithful have been a little quite recently! I'm thinking the talk may have to wait till next Thursday! The board never lacks a presence from HHS parents and fans!

Who wants trash talk about a girls high school basketball game??? Not appropriate besides the threads are only entertaining after the contest and the ensuing reactions from the game!

BiggDaddy that was a compliment!! I only seen Two set's of grandparents getting excited about the game and believe me I like it! Makes me miss my grandpa running around my games hooting and hollering I only hope those kids in time appreciate the support as much as I did as a child! It was tongue in cheek from the last game... I thought the Brossart/Holmes crowd last night showed exemplary behavior!

Brossarts parents were well behaved tonight!!

No doubt it's been circled on both teams calendars since the schedule came out! But Brossart is another team the Lady Dawgs lost to last year and hopefully they will avenge that Tuesday night.

There were a whole lot of Johnny come lately fans at the game yesterday... You know the kind who only show interest in moments when a team is good and I suspect that's where the issue here lies. No regular attendee has had any malice intent in prior games and since the game was in hand what parent on the good side of a 22 point victory would have reason to be upset?? The majority of us sit in proximity and none of us were aware of the heckling.. All I can say is sorry it happened!

Not justifying any behavior wrong is wrong but don't associate one person's bad judgement for the whole!!

Heckling an oppossing player by a parent is unnaceptable!! And if it was noticeable by this players parents how was it not addressed?? I mean let me hear another fan bases parents heckle my daughter!!

I guess justifying your fan bases reaction by pointing out a single persons actions(not saying it did or didn't happen)and saying it's how all Holmes fan's are is irresponsible!!
