Even when Holmes has not played to their capabilities they had no let downs! Zero bad loses that's what seperates them and yes that counts for a little something!!!

I believe most of those years at North Hardin were spent as an assistant coach on the boys team.

And no doubt one of my favorite players is a Lady Jag!

Holmes style of play is dictated largely by the effectiveness of their press no doubt! But in those narrow victories they have displayed a half court offense to go along with it! Do they always use it NO but you don't go 25-1 without it! The aggressive style of defense causes a ton of turnovers and in return it can impact us just as negatively with foul trouble but they overcome that! What's not talked about is this teams half court defense which is just as effective as the press! With exception of the NCC game where the man to man defense was not so great and a few possessions in each of the HC game and Highlands game where girls were left inexplicably open it has been exceptional! And I make no bones about it when this team decides to play inside out in the half court sets lookout!!

What a difference a year makes!! Cooper beat Holmes just last year!

There were various reasons for all those close wins and that one loss and not all because of half court offense defeciencies. If they were so inept some of these would have been losses!

Thank you for the great post and acknowledging the hard work these girls put out in the classroom as well!

Thus team can play a little too fast at times but the half court offense isn't the weakness you all make it out to be!

Well I'll put it like this if he pulls the plug on starters and an otherwise decent team crawls back into a game and captures momentum and we end up on the silly side of a loss I'm not going to be any good about that!

Holmes wouldn't have as many games on the schedule if games like this weren't scheduled!

It's not even about the score and some of you have admitted that much. No coach in their right mind would ever send a message to their players that any opponent wasn't worthy of their best effort and if so I damn sure wouldn't want my child playing for them!

See that's where you don't fully comprehend the point I was making but hey it's ok! No where have I stated that one team was better than the other not in this thread or any other! I don't rank teams and I don't drop numbers in computers! If you look at this thread or any other I post in I do support my Lady Dawgs I don't boast about wins I don't predict outcomes but I support them! I cheer them on in the stands and on this board as do you and every other member on BGP for your team! You support someone and although some are fans in general most of us are here because of ties to a particular school and or player or in some cases players at other schools because o relationships and friendships! You say I am only rooting for my team... Well your right! I'm in a lot of gyms watching a lot of my daughters friends and competitors always hoping to watch good basketball and chat up with good people not just worrying about my Lady Dawgs!
