Do Blacks Have Any Role In Improving Race Relations?
InItToWinIt replied to Clyde's topic in Controversial Issues
Have not read the whole thing, but I think as long as we continue to admit that there is an inequality, there will be. Racism will exist forever, no question about it. But as long as we continue to bring up inequality and admit there is a difference, there will be a difference. Take Black History Month for example. I have no problem with it; celebrating history is a great thing. But because we celebrate it separate from "white history," we will always keep the two groups separate. -

[/Quote] Weyer absolutely should be higher up. #5 looks like the right place to me. Swapping him for CVH I assume means putting CVH at #9? No way that is true. Both young men are top 5 in my book. -

Best is playing. I still stand with what I said at the beginning of this thread: Romes will be the key to success for the Colonels this year. -
Don't Shave December, anyone?

I really agree with this statement, and will take it a step further. Today a big part of sexual assault education is instructing students what to do if they see their girlfriend potentially in danger of being raped or if they see their friend potentially trying to rape somebody. How about instead we teach men that no means no, and its not "cool" to do what is wrong.

I read this a few days ago. Really disgusting and disturbing stuff. Sexual assault is a growing problem at colleges that does not get as much attention as other political topics by the media.

Was tonight a moral victory for Covington Catholic?
InItToWinIt replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Without being there or seeing anything about te game outside of BGP final thread, this is a moral victory. But moral victorys mean nothing. -
Just got passed the "itchy" stage. Still going, looking 10 years older than I am.

Was about to post this. I think I'll laugh at that skit till the day I die. -
I'm 6'4, but on my high school basketball roster I always told them 6'6 For some reason they never put that though...

Not sure if you have to be a member but 5 Seasons is Crestview Hills has them.

I think Pro Life is more of a morality mindset and Universal Health Care is a political concept. Someone who is truly Pro Life would not be against universal health care. With that being said, that does not mean Obamacare is the solution.

I get the point you are trying to make, but lets keep it in perspective. The intent of playing football is to hit each other, and that is what makes it a higher risk for injury. The intent of driving a car is to get from point A to point B. Yes, accidents happen but nobody intends to hit anybody else with their car. My dad did not play football and I always had the choice. I played for 5 years then gave it up because I didn't love it. I think giving me the option was the best choice because I was able to learn firsthand if I liked it or not. I'm not a parent so I can't really comment on LeBron's decision, but I assume he is trying to protect his kids. Also, FWIW he probably won't allow his kids to drive a car because they'll always be able to afford a driver. -

The last two years they've done scrimmages with Cincinnati Turpin and Western Hills but its generally not been very much attended since they sometimes have to travel up 275. Not sure what they've done this year. -

It is just 1 solid color. There is a shelf sticking out just below the numbers on the jersey, so the bottom half is sticking out creating the shadow effect. I think I would dislike a two-shade design as well. -
