Courier-Journal's All-State team
i stand corrected again! " With 44 selections, Harris was the top vote-getter from the 112 coaches who returned ballots." So, is 293 the correct number of coaches in the state?

Courier-Journal's All-State team
Well, I was wrong, just read in the paper just 44 coaches of 112 turned their ballots in, this is where the problem would lie if indeed there were snubs, congrats to all that made it!

Courier-Journal's All-State team
I was almost positive that the CJ All State Team is just voted on by the sports writers, not the coaches? Am I incorrect?

Best O. Coordinators in the Bluegrass
And a lot of "They've never seen an Offense like Ours!!" Lol, sorry, couldn't help myself, Merry Xmas Everyone!!! :thumb:

Best O. Coordinators in the Bluegrass
Another misconception about Trinity's offense is that it is a "Pass happy" offense bc of all of the formations & shifts, but if you look at the overall stats though through Coverdale's tenure(& Beatty's), the offense is extremely balanced and pretty close to 50/50 run/pass.

Trinity's 2015 Schedule Is Complete
Required new District alignment added a local team, plus PRP WANTED to play us so that's 2 new locals. We've had difficulty adding local teams and that's why the regional schedule got so large in the first place, wasn't by choice. PRP felt it would raise their program & level of play if they could start playing us every year which is very smart I think & their coaching staff really wants the challenge. Glad Male still wants to play too even though we are no longer in the same District, more local teams means less travel for us which is awesome, still have a couple of regional super powers on there too.

2014 6-A All "Super District" 1st & Honorable Mention Teams
Trinity's Front 7 allowed 77 yards rushing per game against a FAR superior schedule than Manual, I'll take our individual Front 7's over Anyones, slice it anyway you want, 2 is ridiculous, but oh well

2014 6-A All "Super District" 1st & Honorable Mention Teams
Good point, every kid on there is very deserving, I just feel like Trinity should have a few more, esp on D, guess I'm just a little biased, lol

Is Bowling Green Now the Kentucky Football Flag Ship?
Would love to play Paducah Tilman again!! Was thinking about that series the other day.. I was at the last one at PT in '88 when Jeff Brohm went down & Craig DeSensi came in and led the Rocks to victory, what a great game... One of my favorite T games of all time.... ok, back to BG, lol

Brooks was the best player on the field, 5 TDs when it mattered, give me a break

Interesting tidbit about the super district
no, T & X do not have dorms, but I could only imagine the cry if they did, lol

Interesting tidbit about the super district
Scott County would probably disagree... just sayin

Interesting tidbit about the super district
Yes, Male & Manual are the only "public" schools that can draw from the Entire county, that's why I've always thought they should have a HUGE advantage over everyone, if you saw Manual's team in person, you would understand what I'm talking about, they are loaded.
-
Interesting tidbit about the super district
Let's face it, Male, Manual, Trinity & St. X are ALL Open Enrollment schools, that's why they have so many good players, ANYONE in Jefferson County can go to those schools, that's the difference. Plus, they all 4 have some pretty solid coaching right now as well. I actually think Male & Manual have an advantage over Trinity & X because there is NO tuition!

Trinity 47 Dixie Heights 14 (Class 6A State Championship)
That's a good point, I guess it also depends on how comfortable you are with your subs if the other team is leaving their starters in

Dixie had no answer when Trinity started blitzing him from the end of line, killed a bunch of plays in the backfield

I would say if a coach pulls his starters then he knows the victory is secure so it shouldn't matter what the other coach decides to do, some have a different opinion but that's the way I've always viewed it. Plus, our younger kids got to see some top flight competition so that experience will only help us. I'm actually glad DH left their starters in.

Who had the best individual performance in the state championship games?
Ryan Young was pretty spectacular as well, 15/19 for 309 yards & 3 TD passes, like splitting hairs I guess. The only award those 2 care about anyways is the Championship Trophy, great performances.
