  3. I think we can sweep if Marquis pitches game 3 like his last start.
  4. Any news at all on this one? This and Boone seem to have been open forever.

  6. And I don't ask this in a smart manner, I'm just a little too shocked to take it any other way but the worst, what could she have meant?
  7. I've also been both creeped out and intrigued by the 1998 Murray State dorm fire.

  10. Here's the Bill Erpenbeck story for those of you who may be unaware - Erpenbeck | Articles | Northern Kentucky Magazine
  11. Currently the Hubers trial up in NKY is whipping up some national intention based on some of the details surrounding the case (semi-attractive woman in her young twenties, multiple gun shots, suburban setting, etc...). There have been some great weird and intriguing sagas in NKY and Kentucky as a whole. I was hoping we could all share the ones we know. Mine would definitely be the Erpenbeck Saga and the buried money on the golf course.
  12. 2004 - James Hubbard's run. One of the best high school plays I've ever seen and at the height of the rivalry.
  13. Thanks Clyde! Brennan Votel certainly leads an awesome and interesting life from the sounds of it.
  14. Mine would be Nestheide, the Votel brothers, and Aaron Noll from CovCath and Travis Rasso from Boone. I know where most of them played college at but nothing past that.
  15. How about Dylan Smith, 3 star PG out of Alabama who Coach Brannen recruited who is pretty much the last of the really great players in Alabama not to committ (to my knowledge.) Or MaCio Teague, 3 star SG from Cincinnati that has offers from places like Akron and Kent State?
  16. I honestly think the Pelicans may give the Warriors a harder time in the first round than the Spurs would in the conference finals. I think the Warriors will only gain momentum while the Spurs may not have the energy left in the tank. And I would love if the Wizards some how pulled off a run to the Finals past Lebron.
  17. East Atlanta vs Washington Cleveland vs Milwaukee Washington vs Cleveland West Golden State vs Portland Dallas vs. San Antonio Golden State vs San Antonio Golden State vs. Cleveland Golden State
  18. 1) Columbus for a Crew game (just a different kind of sports experience) plus its a great town 2) Huntington, WV. Opportunities to camp, opportunites to catch some Herd baseball. Interesting city. 3) Hocking Hills is great for cabin in the woods. 4) Lake Norris is my favorite lake. 5) AAA baseball teams in Indy, Columbus, and Louisville. Heck if you were really up to the challenge you could see if you could hit all three in one weekend.
  19. Pre-game Friday night quick bite options (in order) 1) O'Malley's in the Alley (close but not too close, hole in the wall, excellent food for a hole in the wall bar, good atmosphere) 2) Crave (get reservations, food variety is amazing, little pricey) 3) Eli's (because it's Eli's) 4) Jimmy John's (yes, I know, not exciting but it's functional and right there 5) Moerlien House (solid on all accounts, will be somewhat crowded and somewhat pricey)
  20. Davis is by far the best of the six. Duke has the better group as a whole. Slightly. Davis - A plus, MKG - B plus, Teague- C Okafor - A, Winslow - A, Jones - B plus
  21. I wouldn't say that is the case at all. I don't think there is any clearly perceived bias from sport to sport when it comes to transfers. Do you have any possible examples or motives?
  22. Seems like this is just a culmination of a "loose-cannon" coach, which unforunately can happen a lot in the sports that are not part of the big five (soccer, volleyball, football, basketball, baseball/softball). Less participation in some of those smaller sports and a lack of a public/media focus allow for some coaches to get away with actions that wouldn't be tolerated in the larger team sports. Can you imagine the backlash from the community if a football coach cut players that didn't pass his tests of speed and skill against himself or he cut three players from the same family that vocally opposed his actions or he mistreated a person with a medical condition? Ludicrous.
