Cooper has lost a lot to graduation the past two years, but I wouldn't say it is a down year for the Jags. They will be young, but talented. There is a solid core of returning starters and kids that had valuable playing time to mix well with the new comers. It is definitely not a game that Highlands should "dominate." Randy Borchers has built to good of a program at Cooper to expect that to happen

This is honestly the first time I can remember not seeing a lot of talk on the Highlands thread. Maybe people are just waiting to see what they have before they make and judgements, or maybe there are a lot of unknowns. But, I do know Highlands has to sure up their defense if they want to get back to being Highlands. Who seems to be the front runner at QB for the Birds?

Just because of lack of touches you won't here a ton about him but watch out for Nick Myers at TE this year for Cooper. He is an exceptional athlete and could be huge for the Jags in the middle of the field. Also, we should here a ton from him defensively as he has transitioned to DE.

I believe as of right now they are scrimmaging Boone County on Thursday August 10th. Originally, it was a three team scrimmage with Scott also but I don't think that was something Cooper wanted to do. As far as I know the scrimmage is still going on with Boone

I believe that 7 on 7 is only Cooper and SK. Varsity on one end and younger kids on the other is how I believe they are doing it. Cooper is also doing a 7 on 7 at Campbell County I think that is the 18th and then at Dixie on the 20th I believe. Not sure if those dates are accurate yet. I do not know what other teams will be at Campbell, and I believe at Dixie it will be Cooper, Dixie, Conner and Scott I think is the last team

Kunk has performed really well on the summer circuit and the exposure of playing on a high profile team has helped. I expect he will be receiving quite a few more offers before school ball starts

Do they take a hit at all from the new school being built? How many seniors graduated from last years team?

What do they have coming back on D? I thought that was where they were going to be hit the hardest outside of losing Morgan. I know they lose their top DB in Cooper and their top two LB's in High and Demetrakis, help a brother out lol

No teams outside of Louisville and occasionally SC will beat T until the number of kids to pull from evens up. Not crying and complaining you play the hand you are dealt but if you look at it, Cooper, for example is in 6A and has somewhere around 600 or so boys in their school. T has 2.5 times more boys in their school, roughly. That alone is tough to overcome. It will take a special public school team and T to have an off night for that to happen in my opinion

I agree it was tough to watch at times, but I don't mind it because I try to remember this is for the kids and is something they will always remember. I still remember my All-Star game from my senior year. These kids build relationships and friends and memories that last a life time and for some of them it's the last time they will strap up. Sure it could be a little better of a game if your Barnes, Hendrix, etc. played but it's for a good cause and I'll continue to go

I would be very surprised if the Hicks kid is not the QB this year! Kid was electric last year as a freshman and I would think gives them the best chance to win. Unless he is playing WR, he is the future for sure

Agreed. Ryle may get knocked around the field a little bit but kudos to them for scheduling this scrimmage and telling your kids we are striving to be able to beat a team like T. What better way to see what you need to work on then play the best? Wish I could make it to this one

Not a knock on the Camels, but more just wondering. From what I saw last year out of Campbell, why do people expect them to be a tough out this year? Didn't they go 4-8 or something like that? Again, for informational purposes, what do the Camels have coming back outside of the QB? I honesty am not sure... thanks in advance for the help

Correct, but neither of those teams lost by 4 scores if my memory serves me correctly which is what you are stating. Ryle/SC last year was a heck of a game! SK, in my opinion, had a terrible game plan against Lafayette, but tough to defend all of those athletes

A line that big, as long as they are talented, could make an average running back look really good. Be interesting to see what happens with the Colonels this year

Obviously a little bias as I have ties to the program but Randy Borchers would be a pretty good option here. In Cooper's 9 short years they have been to the state championship, two state semi-finalists, 2 or 3 region championships, and about 3 or 4 district championships with a tie or two in there as well. He has built Cooper into a consistent program that continues to rise

Expect Cooper to be young this year, but those young players have some talent! The biggest question is, how do you replace a Dante Hendrix. The answer is simple: you don't. However, Cooper has a few WR back that combined can be very solid. This will also likely be the first year in 6 years that a senior will not start at QB for the Jags!

How many pitches did Craddock pitch Monday? Is he available tomorrow night for Conner?

Is there a better post-season team than Conner in the 9th? Lol. It seems almost every year they are in the regional tournament and win at least one, if not two games. I am kind of hoping to see Conner and Highlands in the final that could be fun

Never past the semis for a while now. Last year was region semis after they upset Ryle

I think Cooper has had to have made its way on to this list in the last few years. Probably in the 16-22 range if you ask me

I agree. St. Henry may be one of the hottest teams in the 9th right now. Have to give them credit. The point is was stating is that pitching did not lose this game for Cooper, the errors did. That's what happens when you put the ball in play. Congrats St. Henry on moving on
