I think Mayfield and Desales D's are about even, looking at schedules, its a toss-up to say who is the best. Do you know of anywhere we can watch some Desales footage? All I can find are some short highlight clips.

One of the problems is when Mayfield started playing football (somewhere around 1910), there were no such thing as a state title.

Well, I am not sure we have gotten the rain they said we would get, I was concerned what the shape of the field is gonna be Friday, we don't need a big mud pit out there.

I feel the same way, lots of things can play into a game like this when teams seem fairly evenly matched, turnovers, penalties, etc. I just hope our kids are prepared for this game, they should know that OC is not going to be a pushover.

I have nothing but respect for OC, especially after beating Murray. I do feel better about this game at home but Mayfield is gonna have to bring their "A" game to win this. A lot were saying that we faced the best QB against Butler last friday night but it's sounding like we are gonna be facing an even tougher one this friday night. I thought the Butler kid was really good, just didn't get the time he needed to throw the ball.

I was impressed with the QB from Butler, very good arm and sense of where his targets where. Butler's defense was not that great, but Arnett was spot on with his passing game. Herndon kept the ball in the endzone all night, which I liked seeing as well.

At the college level, rofl, whats your point? Totally different levels of play. And if I remember right, Mayfield still has a timeout at this point in the game.

I think if us fans and the coaching staff hadn't spoke up they were gonna give caldwell a 5th down on that one series, :ohbrother:

It should indeed be fun for Mayfield next year, we return almost everything minus some defense but that should be filled quite nicely, its a shame we got to wait 8 more months to see.

I personally don't think the LB Corp is excellent, they are mediocre at best, nowhere near the one we faced last Friday in Beechwood. Mayfield has faced good lines all season and came up with the win. Williamsburg will be huffing and puffing at the half from having to run all over the place.

Mayfield is to Beechwood what Danville was to Mayfield for years. If these two teams play each other in the future, which I think will happen again, Beechwood is gonna get their win. Its crazy how its all worked out through the years.
